Great deal. For $21k, its only a grand more than the Solstice and it'll be quite a bit quicker too. I would rather have the NC Miata than the Solstice with such a minor price difference. I would really opt for that Sport Package though 🙂.

Exciting times for any roadster enthusiast.

Sky, NC Miata, or used S2000... so many great choices. I'm already having a hard time deciding.

Where do you get that? The Pontiac has more power and that is going by GM's usually conserative HP ratings compared to Mazda's very Liberal HP ratings. Yes the Miata weighs a little less, but neither car has been fully tested yet, as well they are not even out yet, let alone the Pontiac makes 170 lb-ft of Torque to mazdas 140.

BUT I do love the new price and finally it looks liek it might have soem get up and go over the old one. Compentition is a great thing. Maybe the new price for these will keep Pontiac dealers from marking theirs up over MSRP when they come out.

Also when are these supposed to hit the dealers? Looking at cars for the girl right now. 🙂

A little less? The NC will weigh about 400~lbs less than the Solstice. That is HUGE. The reduction in weight should make it quicker from a stand still, and will also be much more agile through cornering keeping better momentum.

your wrong. 😉

very wrong 😀

the solstice is like a fresh hot slut out there in the skinniest and tightest clothing, while the miata is like a prostitute, and all baggy w/ clothing

the solstice is godly looking comparitively

hmm...he's saying the solstice looks sexier. you're saying (i think, from your "analogy") the solstice looks sexier. if he's wrong...you're wrong.

i cant believe how cheap the solstice is and how good it looks
i hope pontiac makes a bang load of money on that one ... they havent had anything this good in a while

I still like the Sky more.

am i the only one that thinks it look like the opel speedster / vauxhall VX220?

and i doubt GM can match mazda's experience in making a proper roadster.

oh nevermind the sky is based on the same platform as the VX220.

Yeah, heh, I was just about to say that.

Edit: And why don't you think GM could make a roadster that is at least equal?

because mazda has been making the miata for 16 years? roadsters aren't that popular in the states anyway... i can't think of any popular GM roadsters from the past 20 years.

I'd rather not write GM off just yet...I'd like to see how they both do first.
