still seems a little boring to me.. i sat in a mazdaspeed version at the dealer... I'm 5'5" and felt my vision was impaired. heh.. don't think i'd ever be able to drive a convertable.

Looks good on price... I'd at least consider one as a daily car. (Yes, I have a friend who uses a 98 as a daily even in the snow)

It all depends on how much a turbo Solstice is... or if GM ever has the cash to make it.

Great deal. For $21k, its only a grand more than the Solstice and it'll be quite a bit quicker too. I would rather have the NC Miata than the Solstice with such a minor price difference. I would really opt for that Sport Package though :).

Exciting times for any roadster enthusiast.

Sky, NC Miata, or used S2000... so many great choices. I'm already having a hard time deciding.

Odd...the Japanese roadsters have been the only cars I've driven that felt like they were purposefully built for shorter guys...

How fun :)

That's the sort of person who gives bad reviews to this type of car i.e. I can't fit 10 bags of groceries in the trunk, this car sucks in bumper-to-bumper traffic, my dog doesn't comfortably fit on the seat, car slips a little in the snow, etc.

I get 30-32 on the highway. In the city it's usually around 25, but I have seen high teens during spirited driving.

miata definetly isnt bad for the price, but you have to be quite comfortable with your sexuality to drive one :D

NC Miata != NB Miata

that was meant to imply any small roadster really... just used that as an example.

I have a '99 Miata, and my I usually average around 28-30 mpg, about 60% highway, 40% city.

Where do you get that? The Pontiac has more power and that is going by GM's usually conserative HP ratings compared to Mazda's very Liberal HP ratings. Yes the Miata weighs a little less, but neither car has been fully tested yet, as well they are not even out yet, let alone the Pontiac makes 170 lb-ft of Torque to mazdas 140.

BUT I do love the new price and finally it looks liek it might have soem get up and go over the old one. Compentition is a great thing. Maybe the new price for these will keep Pontiac dealers from marking theirs up over MSRP when they come out.

Also when are these supposed to hit the dealers? Looking at cars for the girl right now. :)
