Im not a big car guy, so I'm not really to sure where to find this info, but Im sure some of you guys know. Im looking to find out when the '06 Mustang is going to be released because Im interested in getting myself an '05 mustang.

Normally I wouldn't even consider Mustangs cause everyone and their brother owns one, but for some reason I just loooove the way the '05 looks. Anyways, Im thinking the price will drop on the '05s a bit when the '06 is realized, so that'd be the best time to buy one.

(Probably going to give my current car to my little sister, she just turned 16 and will be getting her license soon.)

I don't think the price's will drop due to dealer markup

find a smaller dealer with one on the lot. they will want to get rid of it, so they will give you a helluva deal.

I saw an add in the paper for an '05 mustang for around $19,000 I thought that was a pretty good deal. Not sure though

There isn't going to be any price drop on the left over GTs maybe on the V6s. I doubt the v6s are selling for over sticker now anyway since they have plenty of those.

sounds like a good deal to me.. but remember, those ads usually are "only for one car" or whatever.. ie. they only have one at that price, then the rest are regular price... but if what thedarkwolf says is true (v6s are aplenty) then it won't be hard to find a good deal on that one.. the gt's however are not gonna be cheap

Well I talked to a guy at a local dealership and he said if I bring in the ad he'll give me one for that price. So I doubt its for a specific car.

I'm not sure if I want to buy new though, or maybe check Autotrader.com for a used one with maybe like 10-15k miles on it?

As far as the '05 goes, anyone own one, driven one? Any opinions/problems with them?

Best deal might be a used V6 from rental fleet. You will be lucky to get a GT at MSRP. Best bet...get an X-Plan (2% above dealers invoice + $150) from someone that works for Ford (you can find them on the 'stang forums and they'd be happy to give you an X-Plan PIN because they get a cash bonus for each one) and order yourself an '06 the way you want it. That's how I got my '05.

And to answer your question, yes I've driven the '05...it is one mad beast
