The vague 5.7 liter reference they give on the engine is not vague at all. It's a modified LS1/LS6 pushrod V8 engine. The C6 is expected to use a LS1/LS6 varient that is currently used in the C5.

Wasn't that always the case? The Caddy supercar was supposed to be based on the 'vette platform, and since they're redoing the corvette, one would just assume they'd follow suit for the XLR.
