That's true, bitch. I just personally would prefer to avoid as little power loss as possible and opt for the 5 speed (manual). I see that the auto is a 5 speed for the accord also, and I'd guess that the altima is a 4, which could account for the slower times.

Yea it's a brand new 5 speed auto tranny. It's quite the performer, never sluggish or lacking in power in anyway from the test drive. I know the 6 hauls major ass though.

Anyway, hows the Max doing?
It smokes the accord AND the altima 😀 It's seriously an awesome car. I was looking at a new altima last year in fact and decided that instead of spending ~$20k, I could spend ~$15k and have a car that's nicer in every way and much faster to boot. Nissans really are a good buy for a late model car. If I was buying another car the only thing stopping me from buying another 1-3 year old maxima would be that having two in the same driveway is a bit lame.

Well, I wanted the 5 speed just to save money, not to be sporty.

The price differential b/t the 5 and the auto is a few hundred dollars. Good negotiating skills will negate that difference.

so are you really saying that you will be driving a 03 CIVIC and your wife will be driving a new Accord or Altima??? 😀
