A co-worker dragged me out to the parking lot to look at her Honda Accord. The high note horn (drivers side) is dead. I checked the fuses and their is only 1 for both horns and it's a fusible link, it looked fine.

I am going to bring in my multimeter (I am hoping the horn's plug matches the low notes, then I can just test it live) tomorrow and probably end up having her order a new one for about $20.

However, if I don't have voltage at the horn...is there anything else to look for?

I am hoping this is a non-issue, but I don't want to have to keep messing with it.

I told her the previous owner probably had some false alarms they didn't turn off in time...I hate vehicles that tie the alarm in to the horns...it's a good idea on paper, but a few long false alarms and your horns are toast.

No voltage at horn, you need to find the relay and follow the wire from there....the relay obviously works if the low note horn is operating.

If there's voltage at the horn, then it's obviously a bad horn.

And plugging the low horn's connector into the high one is the easiest way to test it, for sure. You know it has power.

Reminds me of the horn in my old 91 Accord. The low note horn would come in and out sporadically when using the horn. It sounded like a dying cat and never failed to frustrate me with its inability to scare anyone.

Something cool to try.. Spray some WD-40 into the horn. Worked for my Jetta, but didn't last to long.
