amd barton M @2200 11x200 with 9800pro 128mb stock
5739
same setup but vcard at 420/360
6214
same set up but with CPU at 2500mhz 12.5x200
6255

is that sound about right?
i'm wondering why so little jump after 300mhz increase
is it because 3d mark tests video card more, cpu mhz increase have little effects?

CPUmarks are on the 3dmark tests, you know the 2nd set of tests that run much slower? they don't technically count for your total 3dmarks but having a faster CPU can relieve some of the bottleneck your 9800 Pro is having.

Either way yeah it barely goes up because 3dmark03 is focused on just the GPU. The only reaon your marks go up a tad is the CPU is holding the card back a touch.

Well also you are doing multiplier OCs. If you were increasing your FSB and leaving you multiplier down you will see higher numbers.

True.

I OC'ed my 9700Pro to hell and the score went way up. OC'ing the CPU didn't make that much impact.

Does the CPU scores even affect the overall score at all?

I see alot of FM'ers only do the main game tests and skip the rest (CPU & what not) when they attain their OC'd marks. Dunno if it's to save time when they benchmark constantly for those extra point(s) or because CPU marks don't count.

No. It's only based off the game tests.
