02Micro integrated MMC/SD and Readyboost........

Topic summary says it all. I've got a Gateway P-7811fx with the O2Micro integrated MMC/SD reader and cannot get Readyboost to work on any of the media I've tried in the reader. They all work using Sandisk portable reader however so I know the cards will work. Is it simply not compatible and not worth the effort spent trying to find a way to get it to work? There's very little I can find about this card reader........
