007; "Diamonds are Forever"

That was the implication. But back in those days movies didnt usually address the issue directly. So it was normally just implied, especially in mainstream movies (e.g. Bond films).

Diamonds are Forever is quite possibly the worst Bond movie to date.

Not even close. Aside from Goldeneye, all of Brosnan's have been awful. The ones with Dalton (The Living Daylights) and Lazenby (On Her Majesty's Secret Service) -- utter garbage.

I disagree. Tomorrow Never Dies is my favorite, but everyone always disagrees with me on that one.
World is not enough/Die Another Day were entertaining movies featuring Bong-nothing revolutionary though. Hope Casino Royale is good.

Let me clarify. I have never watched one of Pierce Brosnan's James Bond movies. 😉

Diamonds are Forever is quite possibly the worst of the old Bond movies.

1. Yes
2. Never Say Never again was not a REAL bond movie. The 007 producers and staff had nothing to do with it. It's too long to go into here, but it is legally considered a remake of thunderball
3. Diamonds is FAR from the worst 007 movie. That goes to the cowpie of a film: 1985's A View To A Kill

oh, and BTW, in case you didn't know, Pussy Galore was a lesbian and the implication was that 007 'turned' her back. Of course in 1964 this could oly be implied vaguely on film.

Wait, you bag on Lazenby, but you don't say a thing about Roger Moore (Octopussy)?

I grew up on Bond Films, so I liked em all (except the most recent ones that
spend more time on product placement than plot).

Tomorrow Never Dies and THe Living Daylights were both fine bond films, if you view them without a chip on your shoulder, brosnan's movies got progressively worse, and Lisence to Kill (dalton's second) just didn't have a 007 feel.

And WTF is the matter with octopussy, one of the BEST moore films, if you're gonna bag on moore, bag on a rediculous one like moonraker.

Oh, I forgot about Licence to Kill. What a snoozefest with an ugly Bond girl.

But Jill St. John makes it worth watching all by herself, and he 429 Cobrajet Mustang is another highpoint.

And yeah, Kidd and Wint were definitely smoking each other's pole.
