It was in the article. Apparantly he used both (nitrous oxide is not a fuel, it's an oxidizer)

Those aren't huge g forces... 200lbs? That's just the weight of a fat guy, and a bike can handle that just fine. I don't imagine it's would be very different if the bike was stood up on its front and the fat guy sat on that rocket frame thing. If you mountain bike, you know that a bicycle is very strong anyway. The only thing I'd worry about is the tires.

And a bike being weaker than a motorcycle frame has nothing to do with anything. When a motorcycle crashes, the rider comes OFF the frame- it's not protecting him in any way.


Ironically though, I'm sure he could get better acceleration with a small 2 stroke motor.
