0-60 of a 2004 corolla w/ 5 speed?

StageLeft

No Lifer
I cannot find it. Hopefully one of you will know what it is. I think it's 9.7 for the slush box. I thank you kindly in advance if you can provide the info. Thanks, and God bless.

Thanks, guys. I just realized I have a C&D literally right next to me. It gives the LE 8.2 0-60. That's really pretty good for a car this cheap with such little HP.

I test drove the 03 Corolla S manual and it feels zippy.
Pretty good response all around.

I test drove Lancer OZ ed manual before that and boy that thing is slow. No pull whatsoever and feel fast even at low speed.

It's not really anything special. That's about in line with its major competitors.

It's a mitsubishi. Only good thing about them is normally the door handles do work from the inside so that you can quickly get the hell out!

It seems like a little HP, but it's actually underrated by about 10 HP. The engine is almost exactly the same as the celica GT motor, which is 140 HP. The new corolla dynos the same WHP as the celica.

Plus the car weighs next nothing, 2500 lbs. My earlier number I was qouting conservative but I've heard of people running high 15s in abusively driven, basicallly stock, stick corollas.

0 to ugly in 3 seconds flat

It's a car.
An ugly one.
I had mixed feelings, but I have to say that the S with the toyota body panels at the bottom looks good to me. You can want me dead for saying it but I can't keep it in any longer! And no, I'd never pay more for anything like that.

Edmund's tested a 2003 "limited edition" with the 2.5 at 7.7 seconds. link

This is with an 4-speed auto and Edmund's relatively conservative testing methods.
