Take a look at This!
AMD is planning to manufacture Clawhammer in 0.09micron. And they already have samples of Athlon XP Thoroughbred "S" using 0.09micron.

Hey link, that article is in French, can you translate it. I'd be surprised if AMD was already sampling .09 micron Thoroughbred processors, let alone the "Hammer" series this early in the game.

Good find though. 🙂

Babel Fish Translation, In English:

At the time of its last press conference in Japan, AMD presenté a roadmap or appears the processors ClawHammer and Thoroughbred " S " which will be engraved in 0.09 micron. These processors will be launched courrant 2003, for recall INTEL prepares of sound with dimensions a version of its Pentium IV engraved in 0.09 micron for 1st six-month period 2003. But before AMD should launch, during 1st six-month period 2002, Thoroughbred which will be neither more, nor less than one Athlon XP engraved in 0.13 micron. AMD also presented at the time of this conference its new format of mobile processor: the Micro PGA 563, which will certainly be used to propose a mobile version of Athlon XP.

Oh, it's my bad. (I got too excited!) 😱 They don't have the samples of 0.09micron Thoroughbred yet. The bottom picture is a sample of mobile Athlon XP in micro PGA 563

It says AMD will manufacture Thoroughbred "S" and Clawhammer in 0.09 micron, and Intel will also be make Northwood in 0.09micron during the first half of 2003.

Why the surprise?
AMD has been saying they will have .09u ClawHammer/SledgeHammer by 1H 2003 for months now. Hector Ruiz has stated as much a good 3-4 times already.
