IM IN THE UK SO THIS IS POUNDS STERLING, AND NO I CANT BUY OFF NEWEGG LOL.

i need a mobo, psu, gfx card and cpu/cooler. I DONT NEED RAM.

i like silent/low noise parts. dual core would be nice but i will consider single.

whats the best set up i can get for 5-600 pouinds sterling in the uk? im behind on the latest best gfx cards developments and motherboards.

I use the system for gaming, media, web browsing and stuff. ive already got two gig pc3200 sticks of ram ready to go in so just need the above parts.

i have a nexus ne4090 psu currently, maybe this is ok?

psu wise im not sure if theres anything thats modular and extremely quiet but if there is lemme know.

man i used to be well up on all these things 10 months ago, but since i started work its a nono lol.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ £235

Thermalright XP90 £30

£436 for a single core setup.
£554 for dual core setup.

Then the rest you can either use for a new PSU, and a low noise fan for the heatsink (92mm fan, such as a Vantec Stealth - at overclockers.co.uk), or save.

Don't forget to add the Antec Sonata with it's own low-noise 450w Smart power PSU

if you want a silent PSU then its got to be one of the Seasonic PSU's

i have the Seasonic S12 500watt PSU. and its silent.

its got massive heatsinks for the power circuits inside, it has 1 120mm fan that rotates at around 700rpm. its a great PSU and i like it better than my old Enermax Noisetaker

only thing is its not Modular and their idea of cable tidying is to twist them

good uk sites to buy from

www.overclockers.co.uk
www.overclock.co.uk
www.scan.co.uk
www.microdirect.co.uk
www.komplett.co.uk
www.ebuyer.co.uk

and i just found this place for quiet computing http://www.quietpc.com/uk/products.php

yeh im aware of the seasonic, my point of view tho is that no way on earth is it worth paying near enough a ton for a psu i could get a massively more powerful system if i went with a lower priced one lol.
