“Danger, Will Robinson!” Dont update your S3 to 4.3 (official)

Edited the title as its a bigger problem than just lag and added last post to OP.

As an adjunct to the above posts DONT UPGRADE TO 4.3 WITHOUT BACKING UP YOUR EFS FOLDER AND KNOWING HOW TO RESTORE IT!

That was a fun hour or so, thanks Samsung.

I'd go so far as to say dont update to 4.3 (official) at all, Samsung have monumentally fucked up the update.

Anyway back on 4.1.2 with a functional IMEI now so I shall let Google restore my shit and get on with life.

My SGS3 updated to 4.3 the other day which was nice (I'm not really seeing much difference TBH).

My problem is how do I get rid of the lockscreen widgets? The reason I have a lockscreen is to stop people reading my messages, if its going to display them on my lockscreen that kind of defeats the purpose.

Hmmmmm, thinking that I'm going to have to revert to 4.1.2 again.
Battery life is crappier on 4.3 and the lockscreen lag is ridiculous.
I'll try a different kernel then revert if no improvement.
Won't be much of a loss, the main change seems to be that the calculator looks different!
