intel core i5 3570k

So, as I've written on the title, I have a friend who has the intel core i5 3570k, he told me that he doesn't overclock at all ( he just bought it a couple of years ago with a huge psu ). I tried oc the 3570k and got a stable 4.6 - 4.7 ghz. My question is, for gaming, is the i5 3570k with 4.6...
