    Burn in week (my method)

Sorry for not posting sooner the test is over and the results are in (I hit rock bottom for the test at 1.10v no matter what i set it at the cpu wouldn't run on anything less than 1.10v, it would be set in bios to .05v it would be running at 1.10v so with that said here they are)...

    Burn in week (my method)

cause this method is allowing me to go lower more stabily and i'm aiming for stability so i'm trying to get the most results from a stock voltage or less this process is aimed at letting me get a stable burn in at less than 1v from the results i'm getting thus far. but what you're trying to...

here we idle temps at 1.10v! http://pics.apartment808.com/users/Barbobot/Snap3.gif . booted up totally stable once again i think i'm gonna run prime95 and cpu burn in at the same time for added stress (prime95's torture test doesn't really torture too much imo)

omg all you have to do is read the threads that i've posted i'm not saying it 100% does work, but i find it highly unprobable that that many people can be equally decieved by that method (most of which are far more or as knowledgeable as the 70% of the people in this forum)

    Burn in week (my method)

i'm not a big fan of cool n quiet seeing as to how i couldn't lower the voltages any lower then 1.375 with it on and i've heard its not good for overclocking in its present state

yeah need to get a good screen capture prog (any suggestions) and i will be happy to my comp is currently bare except for BF2 and overclocking/burn in progs. just about halfway into the 1.20v burn in session 30c idle 35c load. just put filters on my intake fans so the case temp is up a little...

ok just started the 1.22v session (10 hrs) its idling at 29c and is getting up to 34c under load. after this test is over i'm changing out the hsf for something a little stronger this fan isn't getting the rpms i want (its only getting like 2100rpms avg i want something like 3000rpms or at least...

thanks for the support vegitto good luck to you also i'm hoping 1.0v burn in will be possible. i'm a little off course today (had to work a 12hr day today) so i'm runing prime95 on my current voltage(1.275v) to get a little extra stress on in since i have to wait till i go out to start my next...

    Burn in week (my method)

I'm really curious on exactly what people mean when they say that. 'Training'. Transistors aren't intellegence and/or living beings so they won't just naturally figure out a new way of existing. Something physical has to change and I'm really curious what that may be. Its not really...

From that article you may notice that Electronics Manufacturers did in fact "Burn-in" their products, but it wasn't to make them work/perform better, it was to make sure the components wouldn't fail after delivery to the Consumer. That way they could avoid angry Customers and replacing flaky...

thats true but my thermal paste has been set in i've used cpu burn in (traditional method) on other rigs this is my first time testing out this method to see if it differs any my temps with this computer at stock voltage were matching those of comps with the XP-90 heatsink and the thermalpaste...

hmmm so i guess that makes the temp drop and voltage stability my imagination and everyone else who has reported results from their burn ins (check any overclocker forum for verification on that). It could be a case by case issue were in this case the temperature has dropped off and the voltage...

thanks for the support i haven't seen too much info on this forum about burn in so i figured it'd be the perfect place to post results from my experiment on and get the knowledge out there. ok with that said on with the update. All i can say is i'm extatic with the results today there...

    Burn in week (my method)

I've just started the 1.32v session (8hrs) loaded up fine idle was a little warmer than previous sessions but i think its cause i've done so many back to back or maybe the lower voltage. workin my way down to 1.1v i'm hoping after this is done i can hit 2.2 at stock voltage.

    Burn in week (my method)

like Vegitto said its not to help my OC its to make it stable at lower voltages and it will it run a little cooler at the stock voltage (hopefully), i'm into my second burn (this one is only running 7hrs 30mins) comp booted up just fine at 1.34v so i went ahead and rebooted and started in on the...

    AMD Heatsink...

I've got an XP-90 and its great (after lapping it and getting it put on its working like a charm, install is a tad on the difficult side). It is by far the best heat sink i've used on any of my builds only thing i could think of thats would be better is the XP-90c which is the same heatsink only...

    Burn in week (my method)

its so you can overclock higher at lower or stock voltage. you're training you parts to run with stability at lower voltages, the lower the voltage you can run at stabily the less power consumption, also less heat is generated, i'm running an air cooled system and i'm into the second phase of...

Overclocking and Cool and Quiet questions.

yeah i was having some problems burning my system in when i had cool n quiet enabled on my system (wouldn't let me adjust cpu voltage) once i turned it off i could finally get to work i'm not planning on turning it back on unless i keep my OC under 10-15% but we'll see if i can get a 20% stable...

    Burn in week (my method)

Well after reading a lot of info on cpu burn in i've decided to burn mine in due to the increased performance on lower power. i went through and found the stock voltage for my 3200+ venice was running at 1.4v so i ran cpu burn in for 12 hours at the stock voltage (no problems) next i've moved it...

    best gaming Mobo

I'm wondering what the best mobo for straight gaming would be. I've been building my system for a LanParty SLI mobo but now i'm starting to wonder if thats whats best for me. I"m building this system strictly for gaming (with maybe a 10% if that OC for added gaming performance). The LanParty has...
