    WD Raptor Headache

My buddy had trouble installing Windows XP with raptor drives. He said that it would lock up or only get a certain amount finished, but it was always random. I don't know if he had trouble formatting the drives. It ended up being a memory problem. He moved the RAM to different slots on the MB...

    back up or image?

Ghost is only going to restore what you have when you create the ghost. That's what rh71 was saying. If you want to back up pics, music, word files, ect....then use Windows backup. Ghost is better for when you have your Operating system all up and running with all the drivers. That saves you a...

Was trying to insert usb cable into slot; now pc wont work?!

Does the computer load your OS after you have pulled all the cables? I had a motherboard that went bad. It would lock up all the time...sometimes it would post and sometimes it wouldn't. I ended up RMAing the motherboard and getting a new one. Its possible that your motherboard was fried...

    Changing Partition Size

You could go in to disk manager and upgrade your disk to a dynamic disk. Once you do that, you can just increase the volume size. Be aware that one you upgrade to dynamic disk, you can't go back to basic storage. Hope that helps. Jonny

What do I need to get to setup several wireless PCs to my cable

You won't run out of IP addresses. You should be able to hook up all the computers you want to. The Router has a built in DHCP server, which takes care of all the IP addressing. It should be plug and play for all your systems. You are really only limited by the physical connections, because you...

    SW:KOTOR II

I really like this game. I was on vacation last week and ended up playing a lot. The story is ok, but what is really fun is going for light/dark side quests. It seems that the other game it was an either/or choice. In KotoR 2, its not always so black and white on what will give light points or...

    back up or image?

The server we have at work doesn't have a clean image backup. I guess it might be a good idea, but we have a lot of students transition through, so there are always changes in the Active Directory. We just use Windows backup and do a full backup to a tape drive. It seems to work ok. When it...

    SATA drivers/Windows install/ AMD 939 NF4

My friend was having a lot of problems with installing SATA drivers as well on an Asus motherboard. He ended up slipstreaming a copy of windows with all the SATA drivers built into it so he didn't need to hit F6 when Windows was loading. That way, all the drivers were already there. Here's a...
