Hello all,
I've been watching NVIDIA and other stocks for the last 3 years now. There was a time about 2 years around October where I was very disappointed to see my beloved NVIDIA Stock hit 7$ when I had bought it for 18$. Thankfully within a few months the NVDA share price recovered and I...

thank your raybay, does anyone else have anymore info on how to deal with this problem? Could I possibly use the windows XP cd's restore consel to try and fix the hard drive(the drive itself contains no win XP installation)?
So all of a sudden I lost access to my large data file hard drive (luckly I don't run windows on it). So now when I go into my computer, I can see the Hard drive but I can't access it. Windows pops up with a "Disk is not formatted" window, and asks if I want to format the drive. But I...
Well I think I got it figured out! I hit the populate button under the drives properties and got semi-reliable access to the data, after that I used your guys advice and changed it back to a basic disk via administrative controls. Thanks for the help!
While I reformatted and reinstalled windows XP Pro on my smaller master hard drive, I noticed that my large (data, music, movies, games) hard drive was recognized in an unusual way. Instead of having a drive letter like D: it had -: and the file system recognized was called dynamic volume...

Hi there,
One of my good friends was having trouble with is computer rebooting randomly. And after swapping out 2 different sticks of RAM I concluded that the Motherboard must be at fault (memory controller). The faulty board was an EPOX 8RGA and I was wondering what would be a good...
I have been having trouble using the EPOX 8rga+ boards in dual channel memory mode, try useing just one stick of ram in the computer (or 2 sticks on one memory bus) and see if it still resets randomly. PLease tell me if this helps, I am getting quite peeved with EPOX's dual-channel memory...
I just built 2 computers using Epox 8rga+ MB's, unfortunately it seems that EPOX neglected to prefect their dual channel memory controller thus I cant run the board in dual channel mode and I have 2 sticks of ram being unused. I am going to return these boards and get a more reliable Nforce2...

my timing are 3-3-3-8 , its gotta be the memory controller on the mainboard, well i guess new egg is gunna be hearing from me. Thanks for your input pspada!
I dont think it is the ram, because A) its crucial ram B) its clocked at its SPD timings (nothing is faster then it is supposed to be) and then C) the rig runs perfectly fine with only one DIMM or one channel of memory being used. I suspect the memory controller ont he mainboard itself is the...
All you have to do to be running your computer in dual channel memory mode is have more then one stick of ram in the mother board. If you have 2-3 sticks of ram in serted then you can run in dual channel memory mode, giving your seperate dimms, 2 different memroy buses to use. SO all you do is...
I am wondering if i have a slightly defective board (ie. some sort of hardware problem involiving the memory controller) or if this is a problem that more people are running into. My Epox 8RGA+ works great when i only have one stick of ram (crucial 512 MB pc 3200) so that the memory is only...
OK, so OCSystem is no good. I just found out that Kingston RAM is the same price as Crucial. Which of these should i go with. Kingston VS Crucial. Let the opinions (hopefully based on facts) fly.
I am going to be building 2 identical computers for some family and friends. I plan to put PC 3200 memory in them. My question is: what do you think is a better deal, going with the 512 MB chip from crucial for $90 (definably quality) or getting $16 off by going with OCSystem for $74. Does...
i got some $40 or so falt panels once... i did not have a good experance they can cover some frequencs of sound well, but dont seem to do so well with others. Some of your favorite songs will song very different (not in a good way). But that was a year or so ago maybe someone has improved flat...
Hello my Anandtech friends,

Hello all,
I just bought a HP dvd 100i drive that uses the DVD+RW media format. The problem is that the vendor i got this from only sent me cheap stomp software on a burned CD with no label. So far I havent been able to write a DVD, possibly because of the software. I bought Ritek DVD+RW...
