You gotta keep inmind that some people are all about benchmark scores.............. This is where the higher rated memory shines... Theres no doubt that in real world application the difference is minimal....
THe review clearly shows that the DDR 600 outperforms DDR400 memory.... Thats a given... Major flaw in the comparision chart is that they dont have a DDR500 2-2-2 comparison which is much more common for overclockers using BH-5/UTT Ram.
All applications can take advantage of 1mb of Cache over 5412k.
Thats just a bigger chunk of data the CPU can process from its memory.
Since 3700's are clocking just as high, if not higher, than a 3800, the 300+ wins hands down. No "Rumor" needed.
WHere Have I been? AMD world mostly.... Just built my Intel rig a few weeks ago.....
I didnt expect much from the game benchmarks or even superpi.... But I thought PCMark04 would be insane high.....
I must say the email correspondece between myself and Monarch has been dismal. I placed my Order on 4/27, changed it on 5/2 and since monday, been sending emails trying to get my status with NO LUCK. Today I called them and spoke to Jerremy and he took care of me big time. Dint even have to...
Your not using the Motherboard header to power those fans are you? THe larger fans need to be powered by a PSU lead... Otherwise youcan easily overload the motherboard power connector and cause the fan tospin slow and/or stop.
Just called Monarch and got my order al straightend out... My 3000+ Should be on its way shortly ad a 3700+ when they come in.... AND a DFI 865PE-Tag for my Intel rig........ Ended up sending them a bit more of my money... But thats ok.........
The ONLY heatsink you might have trouble with on some boards is the Thermalright XP-120. Everything else fits within AMD's guidelines (And actually, the 120 does as well... But some motherboard manufactureres dont quite follow the guideline to the "T")
Thats said, I would stay away from...
I'm sure they are VERY busy with orders right now.... I've emailed a couple times about my order, and my Order status page now says Pending a change, but havent heard anything back from them yet....
MonarchJoe...... I emailed "Orders" and Phil about my 4000+ OEM order.....
Whats going to happen to current orders now that AMD has announce another Price cut?

Most Newegg Refurbs are OEM White-Box components. WHich means they definatly do NOT come with all the cables, plates, and associated retail Box parts. Usually not a big deal for folks that have lots of parts lying around (like me) but could be an issue for some.
I see a lot of useless screen shgot and pictures so far.... WHy no Verified CPU-Z shot? Or at least a PCMark04 ORB Submission???
THis is TOtal BS folks...
I'm able to overclock a little higher with HT OFF.... Just built my first HT P4 rig a few weeks ago... a 640 with an Asus P5P800..... Superpi ran a little faster.... But not much....
THe extra 128k is NOT a huge benefit... Nowhere near an "Extra 200mhz" maybe 50..... MAYBE..... I've extensively tested Sempron 754s... and found the 2600+ to be the very best bang for the buck....
You will definatly need to lower the HTT Multipler when overclocking a Sempron... Just drop it down to 3X.... as you will be going well over 250HTT bus....
I was able to get my Chaintech VNF3-250 Super-Pi Stable around 320 HTT bus... only "Mods" were AS5 on the Chipset HS, and some small...
Crud........ Looks like I'll be calling monday to change my order then..... Pretty dissapoint... Before I placed my order, I was assured that the dates posted looked good... WOuld of just ordered the 3700+ OEM to begin with... Now I get double pooched cause I gotta wait for the next...
The Chaintech NF3-250 Zenith is another Awesome Motherboard for overclocking Semprons.

If your not a memeber of eocf, you may not be able tosee all the screenshots of my tests, but lets just say I exceeded xbitlabs results on...
Saturday delivery would be an upgrade from Next Day for any carrier that offers Saturday..... "Next Day" is gennerally assumed to be "Next Business Day" Expecting Saturday delivery is a bit much............
Now my question....
4000+ San Diego Retail CPUs say May 2nd..... Thats what I'm...
I've got this Processor with a GIgabyte K8NS-Pro. Overclocking has been good so far. Has run stable all the way up to 2.2Ghz while underclocking my memory.
Just need to find out how to unlock the multiplier on this Chip.
