Why is my Mobo running in single channel memory

I built this computer for my gf a couple years ago and shortly after she started complaining about it being slow. I figured it was just because of al the crap she had on there and never really investigated too far. Now I am looking at it more closely and I have run all the spyware/malware...

    Dual channel memory test

While I appreciate the response, I find it hard to believe that spyware is the problem after a fresh install. The post was made from a different computer, the computer in question has yet to even reach the internet :). Checkin out both programs, thanks for the help.

    Upgrading from onboard

I am not going to OC the card that I buy, so if I am buying used should I spend the extra time and try to get a 4400 for as close to 4200 prices as possible? Or just find the first one that is close to my budget and buy it? I'm also wondering how a Radeon 9600 Pro compares to a 4200/4400...

    Upgrading from onboard

I'm going to be upgrading to an actual stand-alone video card as the onboard from my 845PE mobo just isn't cutting it anymore. I've pretty much narrowed it down to either a Ti4200 or 4400 as the cheapest most economical alternatives. I am not looking for insane FPS at 1800x1600 resolution...

    New video cards...when?

I'm interested in buying a Radeon 9800 Pro video card, but I'm also curious now as to when the next line of video cards are meant to be released, because if it's relatively close, I will just wait until they come out to buy my Radeon and save a little money.
