To the naked ear it sounds like my HDD is doing less activity with the ICH9R chipset than Gigabyte. That's hardly scientific is it :) Yes, hopefully someone willing is reading this...
The motherboard I have is a Gigabyte P35-DS3R v2.0. What I'd like to know is if I will get the best performance using the ICH9R chipset or the Gigabyte chipset?
Offhand I'd say the ICH9R seems a little quicker. I know the ICH9R is much improved over the older ICH8. I had a 965P-DS3 and...
I did end up buying a 226BW after all. After a few weeks of use i really enjoy it. There is some backlight bleeding but you don't notice things like that actual games. I personally have never been one for eye candy either which may sound weird as I am running 4xAA 8xAF in most games.
"If your...
I bought it in Adelaide, Australia. Made in Dongguan, China. Date is July 2007. Sticker on the back of the removal cable panel is 22 July 2007 to be precise. Hope this helps.
Yes i read that thread but not in its entirety. I opened up the monitor case to find the code LTM220M1-L01 on both stickers - a 'S' panel :D
Now i can calibrate it. Thanks.
Two days ago i bought a 226BW. Great monitor and i like it already, even with a little backlight bleeding on the edges. Out of curiousity i wanted to know what panel i've got so i checked. Here's the results:
Service Function
Monitor On Time : 2Hr
Panel Ch. No. : 0
On Time : 2Hr
Cycle...
Yes i did think about the 206BW but i did read that the pixel pitch made it harder to read text and i didn't want to play around with font sizes. I probably will go with the 226BW as i can afford it. The only thing i don't like about some lcd's is the fact they don't come with height adjustment...
No i think that is about it. I doubt very much that we'll see anything other than 22" TNs as companies will start to focus on 24" now. Most professionals would choose a large panel than a 22", or logically so i would have thought. I've narrowed my choice down to:
Samsung 19" 940BW (with...
So did u get a monitor yet Arc? I'm looking too, will probably go with a Samsung 226BW and take my chances with the panel lottery. Can't seem to find the HP 2207 here in Australia.
Thanks apoppin i have read that thread. I was being sarcastic when i said people haven't been complaining enough. I guess they are still shipping different panels even with the commotion. Thanks.
Does anybody know if they are they still making these lcd's with the S, A, and C panels? I did read that they were possibly going for a forth one that was even cheaper and output worse colour representation. Perhaps people aren't complaining enough?... :( Anyway just wondering what the outcome...
Thanks Bernard. Incidently I am also looking at a Panasonic Viera LCD tv as well and you just answered a question in my head as to whether that technology was any good too :)
From what i've read here at the forums these lcd's are top notch. Here in Australia they only appear to market the FP241W. From what i can gather the difference between the two said monitors is that the Z version has PerfectMotion Technology which sounds advantageous as i want this new monitor...
I've seen reviews of this PSU going around and it mentions that the software included isn't so accurate in its determination of power (W) used. I am thinking about buying one if there has been any software updates correcting this problem. Does anybody know if this is the case? Thumbs up to...
I just bought a Leadtek 8800GTS 640MB. The default low level fan duty cycle is set at 60%. I read once that this is lower than normal so i'm wondering what is the NORMAL default if this is the case. If someone who hasn't changed their settings could check with RivaTuner for me, that would be...
Can someone confirm with me that these cases are of the same design? Dimensions and look appear to be. I'm upgrading to a new case to go with my yet to be purchased Enermax 500w Liberty PSU. If i get either case (prefer the PC-007 actually as it has 2x 120mm) i'm going to replace all fans with 3...
All was fine and well with SP2 until about 1 week ago. It boots up ok until it reaches the desktop whereby it will pause and do nothing except some HDD activity. I can move the mouse but no right click, no menu access and no desktop icons are present. A quick CTRL+ALT+DEL and a logoff then back...
Looking at buying an AV8 1.02, I don't plan to o/c so i really can't be stuffed waiting for the Rev 2 boards to hit Australia its been sooo long already...
Does Bios id: 1.5 fix the thermal temp detection problem? iirc this was the only problem with the board as the agp/pci lock apparently...
I'm looking to upgrade my PC to a socket 939 system and am currently looking at the A8V Deluxe. I'm not looking to o/c so i understand the board should be fine, but i did buy an Asus board for a Pentium 2.4 system a while back that had specific DIMM compatibility which i fell foul of right from...
I'm returning my Apacer DIMM's because they simply wouldn't run, so make sure you get the right ones. Which leads me to ASUS, is this .pdf file down for everybody, or just me?

Thanks guys. Looks like my limit is about 300/600 which is what it is now as o/c the core doesn't do too much really. I was mainly interesting in what clock speed i could get. thanks again :D
I own an Asus V9280 S2 Superfast ti4800se video card, and currently run it at 275/600 stock settings. I thought it was reasonable to think that the core could run half of the clock speed, so 300mhz is possible in theory. What are you other fellas running yours at??? cheerios.
Hmmm that is interesting Soulkeeper... anyways all i really want to get out of my 1800+ is to get it to work at 2000+... i guess in part if that program is right, i should easily get there. Still haven't had time to put the new cpu in either, damn work... :disgust:
I wasn't so much after the overclocking opinion of you guys, sorry if i gave that impression :) I really wanted to know if the above URL was credible, as i find it hard to believe that a cpu would be downgraded from a 2600+. In theory that should easily o'c to what i want...
What have you other...

I want to upgrade my processer to a 1800+ or perhaps a 2000+. From what i can tell from the Abit website the max 0.13u cpu that will be accepted in my KG7 is a 2000+... will a 2400+ work??? I didn't think so but with their slack website update habbits who knows.. :D
