    Windows XP Home

The issue I am having is it says the CD Key can't be used any more, guessing it was an OEM. I want to get a legit copy rather than trying to pirate it from someone, I want a retail copy so I can install it on future PCs etc etc, XP is something I will always like. Dave

    Windows XP Home

I have been searching for the right version of windows XP and I have it down to wanting Windows XP Home Edition, while I don't want it to be OEM because I would like to be able to install it on my PC each time I desire to. I believe the original XP I got for my family was OEM so I was unable to...

    First Build - BSOD

Was there power to the monitor? Are you sure there was power to the motherboard? Sorry, just got my first build online so not sure =/ There are two different powerplugs that go into the motherboard I got so maybe you missed one? Dave

    Advise building new system

Probably better to post this in the General Hardware section to get more responses. I know people there have been more than helpful when I was first picking out my parts. I went with a Sapphire X1900XT 256mb for my video card for gaming/graphics design until the new G80 cards come out and lower...

Where are all the Thermalright Ultra-120's at?!?!?

My guess is having a second fan would slow it down more than speed it up. I have it so the 120mm fan is blowing air through the heatsink to the rear exhaust fan and I think anything in its way would only hinder its air flow. One fan blowing should be enough for cooling in my opinion. Dave

Where are all the Thermalright Ultra-120's at?!?!?

I purchased mine from Heatsink Factory, either try contacting them or check daily. I checked at 3am before bed and they had some up by 10am the next day, someone from these boards was kind enough to point it out. It fit into my Lian Li PC-60APLUSII case, just be sure to have your motherboard in...

Man, ressurecting all of these old ones =/ Dave

    80mm to 120mm adapter

I used an 80mm to 120mm on the back of my Lian Li PC60APLUSII case and it seems to work well when I had it running. The fan still had the same blowing, in this case sucking, power as if it were in the back of the case. I am not sure which pressure I have going on, but there are only three air...

    Sunbeam Rheobus problem....

Well I had the PSU go straight to the fan controller and disconnected all other 4-pins for my fans this morning before heading out to work. I don't want to boot it up again until I get my BIOS in order which I have been a bit lazyish getting to, hate learning things from scratch. Other than that...

What would be a good case for?

I picked up a Lian Li PC60APLUSII silver w/ side window(through Newegg.com) and it was a solid build with easy access, room for the Enhance 5150GH PSU(through Ewiz.com) and it was solid construction. The Lian Li in silver is around $125.00 while the black version runs around $135.00 give or take...

    Lian Li PC60APLUSII

So thank god you can have your love affair here on some anonymous boards, rather than hating each other in real life. Dave

    Sunbeam Rheobus problem....

I don't have the issue with both fans controlled by one knob, I have the problem where the first two knobs are unable to be turned off, which I most likely would never need to do, just a malfunction with the Rheobus or my wiring, I think its the Rheobus. It gets loud at a medium speed =/ May be...

    Decisions..Decisions..

Thermalright Ultra 120 with a Yate Loon runs really quite in my Lian Li PC60APLUSII. Dave

    Sunbeam Rheobus problem....

So basically I should just disconnect the four pins and call it a day leaving the three pins connected to the Rheobus. They are so quite it didn't matter any way, but I wasn't sure if the Rheobus was broken or if it was how I had it wired. I need to replace the Sanyo Denki exhaust fan because it...

    Sunbeam Rheobus problem....

I have the four slots to plug in left to right. Front is first, then my heatsink fan, then the exhaust fan. The first two knobs are unable to be turned off, I wasn't sure if Zepper was trying to tell me its a wire problem. The third, exhaust fan, works as is just its noisy lol. The first two...

    Sunbeam Rheobus problem....

AHHHH ZEPPER!! Please translate to stupid talk for me =0 I understand the three pin, four pin thing. I will undo the four pins in the morning, but what do I have to do with the three pin? Cut the yellow wire? I am unaware if you were answering my problem or the others lol. I just hooked up all...

    Lian Li PC60APLUSII

Ya I went with two 12" green cold cathode lights, looks pretty nice in a silver case, though black of course has its pros as well. I am debating on what to do with my semi borked Rheobus before getting the computer fully functional. Dave

    Lian Li PC60APLUSII

I have 120mm intake infront of the hard drives, an exhaust on my video card, a 120mm on my heatsink which blows directly towards my 120mm exhaust. The intake/heatsink run with no control on the Rheobus cause its broken and the exhaust is controllable, kinda loud though... damn Sanyo Denki...

    Sunbeam Rheobus problem....

I have the problem where the first two slots are always on while the other two are controllable. It must be a malfunction on mine because there is just no reason for you not to be able to manually control them. The first two are always on even when the knob is clicked off, the 3/4 slot work as...

    Lian Li PC60APLUSII

Well I took the time to boot it up for the first time, enter boot disk and hit a key is what it showed, no more time to do anything. The Sanyo Denki or what have you exhaust fan I picked up is the thing that makes the most noise. The Rheobus fan controller I recieved has four controls while only...

    Lian Li PC60APLUSII

Thank you pkme2, I stated I was at work and didn't have the time to do so, it was cleanup time and I shouldn't even have done the quick review, but I have been busy. My PC hasn't even been booted up yet and I have had it together for like two weeks now. Dave

    Lian Li PC60APLUSII

When my Raidmax Smilodon ended up coming damaged in shipping I was able to rethink my case selection and I ended up going with the Lian Li PC60APLUSII, I am at work or I would have the time to dig up links. Quick rundown, the 80mm fan on the back was adaptable to a 120mm fan, the adapter fit...

What is the most User Friendly case?

I found the Lian Li PC-60APLUSII to be very easy to get around with so far. Everything had screws that were able to be undone with hands, but could use a screwdriver as well. The motherboard was a very easy install and it has a slide out mobo tray which makes it all the better. I adapted a 120mm...

Vin causing more trouble? LOL. I ordered the Lian Li PC-60APLUSII and it should be in this Thursday. Dave

I am an idiot. I have the Centurion 5 and now I ordered the Raidmax Smilodon case

Smilodon I purchased came with broken pins holding the bezel on. Filed damaged item complaint, refund and free 3 day shipping on any other case I chose to buy. The smilodon looks better on the web than when its in your home sadly. Dave

Need to pick new case ASAP(planned one out of stock)

Yea I ordered up the Lian Li PC-60APLUSII silver style and will be taking out the intake thing they have midway up the back to cool the processor. 8.3" wide, as wide as if not wider than what Baked said he fit all his stuff into, should work out great, no flimsy plastic doors to break this time...

What color Lian Li should I buy?

I purchased a LiteOn Super All Write DVD super burner last year, its black facing and came with a white backup, definitely shop around and find matching fronts because the other option is permanent and like $10 a facing I think. Dave

Need to pick new case ASAP(planned one out of stock)

There weren't many cons other than if you have need for a bunch of wiring space, but I don't plan on doing anything excessive with maybe 3 hard drives or so. I just need to find a setup to backup my work safely so I don't lose my 3d graphics stuff. Dave

LOL, I am basically using cash, I don't have a credit card... not because I can't, I have just never gotten one. I use my debit card and for things that don't take debit I use Paypal or borrow a credit card from someone I know and pay them back with cash. Bed time here, check in early tomorrow...

LOL. So quick to change game! I am sorry man, I just can't change so I am trying to find out all my options first. The Lian-Li just seems solid and you can get it with or without window. I would get it with the window for $10 more and hold on... sexy dancing chick commercial... need to type...

Need to pick new case ASAP(planned one out of stock)

The Lian-Li PC60APLUSII or whatever I linked on page 1. It has no door and has a side window. Fits a front, side and rear 120mm fan, why I figured the Rheobus might be good for it. Its 8.3" wide so I figure the Ultra can fit, my Yate Loons can intake/exhaust and my 5150GH enhance powersupply. I...

Oh lol, my bad, yea I only have a DVD burner I picked up made by umm... LiteOn, Super All Write and has lightscribe technology. LOL... Best Buy is about all I have near here.. an hour away too. I am pretty sure I can buy plates to change the fronts out if all else fails. Might explain my clear lack of up to date knowledge with computers. I thought Geforce 4s were still good till like 5 months ago lol. Dave
