    Unable to install Nero 7

I've had the system running stable for six months with Windows XP Pro. Played games and used the OEM version of Nero 6 with no problems at all. Trying to install Nero 7 is another thing. Ran memtest and the RAM passed. I flashed the BIOS of the mobo too, still can't install Nero 7...

    Unable to install Nero 7

I upgraded my Nero OEM licens to Nero 7.9.6.0 and downloaded it. I've tried to install it in Windows XP Pro and Windows Vista Business, but everytime I try to install it my system either says the file is corrupt or crashed to a BSOD. I've downloaded the installer several times and I've also...

I had a similar problem with the fans spinning, but no post nor beeps. It turned out that both the mobo and the CPU were toast. Hopefully that's not your problem...

    New system build

Is the Dominator RAM not good or just not worth the extra cost? I've more or less decided to go with system 2. It the RAM from system 1 better? If so I could replace the Dominator RAM and put in an X-Fi Fata1ty instead....

    New motheboard: still no POST.

I had a similar problem with my system. The fans would run, but the system wouldn't post, the monitor didn't get a signal and I was unable to get into BIOS. No beeps, nothing... Since my warranty hadn't expired I returned the system to the store, having tried both a new PSU and a new video...

I'm in the process of purchasing a new system (will probably order in 4 or 5 weeks) and just noticed that the on-line store I'm using to build my system at posted the QX6700 at only about $45 more than the X6800. The reviews on the QX6700 says that with the games out now there's not a large...

    New system build

If I order the system before Xmas I can pay it off in 36 months with a salary deduction before taxes. 1/1 2007 the swedish government will remove this option, hence I need to order in the beginning of december. Otherwise I'd wait to order until the Dx10 mainboards and vid cards are out. How...

    Building new system

Thanks for the excellent link Mellman! The system will mainly be used for games, some video editing will probably be done too, but mostly games. Also I guess that answers the questing why the 6400 RAM is $140 more than the 8500.

My RIG - need help with set up and software

Creative's X-Fi cards and nVidia nForce chipset aren't a good combination as Creative admits that there are problems with the nForce4 chipset. There is however a rather long post where a user with the nForce590 has posted his interaction with Creative's Tech Support, and after one month of...

    which would you pick?

nVidia nForce 4 chipset and Creative's X-Fi Soundcards are creating a sh*tload of problems for many users. Go visit Creatives Support forum and you'll find countless post regarding problems with this setup. Creative have no clue on how to solve it and almost blame nVidia for the problem.

    probably retarded, but

neptune: if you look here ATI Crossfire Certified PSU's you'll notice that ATI has certified that PSU for use in Crossfire systems, i.e. that PSU will be able to power your vid card.

    Questions regarding new system

I'm in the process of buying a new system (mainly gaming rig), but I can't make my mind up regarding what setup to use. My budget will allow me to either get an EX6800 and one Radeon X1950XTX or a C2D E6700 and two Radeon X1950XTX's in Crossfire mode. Which setup would make the PC last...
