My Dad's computer which has a fresh install of windows xp keeps turning off after a few minutes. Now I checked the cpu temps and they are perfectly fine. All my drivers are current and most components in the system are only 6 months old. Could a PSU be the problem? Its a 430 watt coolermaster...

I have an intel bad axe 975 motherboard. I can overclock the cpu, but I can't seem to figure out how to get the memory to run 1:1 When I check it using cpuid it says its running 4:5 that doesn't sound too good....any ideas?
What is a good setting for the nec 20wmgx2? I'm looking for brighteness and contrast and sharpness. Also what do most people use for the color settings, native SRGB etc...
Thanks
On Neweggs website they list the Nec 20WMGX2 as having "More than 16 million colors" doesn't that imply that its a 6 bit panel rather than an 8 bit one? Zipzoomfly's website also states the same. I'm confused I thought it was a true 8 bit panel.
I'm getting a dell laptop. And it comes with a 15.4 inch xga truelife screen. For Another $50 I can get a Sxga screen. Is it worth it? What would be the benefit of it. This is on a widescreen btw...Also my vision sucks so I like my text and icons on the bigger side of things...
Thanks
How is the Nvidia 7300 go for a laptop? Its the 256 meg version. Its either that card or the 256 ati 1400. I might play some BF2 at low resolutions on it, but that's about it..
Does anyone know if when using 2 7900 gtx's if a xfi sound card will fit on this MB? I posted this same message on Abit's Forum but no replys :-( I also want to use my zalman 7000B cpu cooler as well and I'm not sure if it will hit any of those silent heatsinks on the north or south bridges...
Well after using CRT's for years because LCD's sucked for games, I've finally got an LCD that has everything I want and need :-) I got the Nec 90fx2 last week and have been loving it ever since. Colors are better than my CRT was, games are great 99% no ghosting or blurring. And no more buzzing...
Would you return an LCD for 1 dead pixel? One that was so in the corner of it. Then have to pay a 15% restocking fee, and take a chance on another one.....
I was wondering about dead pixels. When I run Dead Pixel Buddy sometimes I think I see a dead pixel and sometimes it disappears. Almost like a sparkle effect. Could it be the overdrive on the LCD? I mean its like one minute its their and one minute its gone, what would that be called?
I was thinking of getting the Nec 1970GX 19 inch LCD. I saw it at Frys and loved the way it looked with that opticlear coating. What's weird is it was next to the Viewsonic VP930B which is an 8 bit panel while the Nec is only a 6 bit panel. But to me the Nec's colors looked much better than the...
If you use the default monitor driver instead of the one that came with your lcd, would that hurt it at all? I mean color wise. Would I notice a difference using one driver over the other? The reason I ask is when I use the one from viewsonic it only allows me to play bf2 at 60hz when running at...
Got my vp930b. And I was wondering what is a good setting for color? I see theirs SRGB, 9300, 7500, 5300. 5000 I'm confused really. Also what is a good brighteness Contrast setting?
Thanks
