I got this drive a while ago, and I also happen to have the KS version. Overall, they are both very similar. The AAKS takes a bit longer to spin up, and in my opinion is a tad bit quieter. I haven't been able to test the performance since I have them in external cases, but as soon as I get my...
Yeah, it might only be useful when the iPod is in your pocket and you still want to be able to see the display, but otherwise the remote is too close to the ipod.
Quick question: I want to decorate my room with 12" cold cathodes that are normally used for computer mods. The thing is I don't want to have my computer on the whole time.
I saw that the inverters run on 12 volts. So, would I be able to use a normal 12V wall transformer to power the...
Anyone taken a look at theThunder Runner 3D? Similar Specs and price, but the Transmitter seems like a lot higher quality. Can anyone see a significant performance difference between these two?
QUICK NOTE: This card is for workstation applications, such as 3d modelling and CAD.
They will run slowly in games.
Workstation video cards are made to sacrifice speed for visual quality.
I escence, they do not make good gaming card.
Most of the price come actually from the driver...
Very nice!
I own the 420 Watt version and love it!
Of course, I love directron too.
This is good, because I was looking for a P4 PS for my KVME A XP mobo, and seeing that this is TTGI and Directron makes this a plasma hot deal.
Hmm... For some reason, when I click on the rebate link, it gives me this message:
"The previous search results have expired. Please wait while we redirect you or click here to go the appropriate page."
Can anyone post another link to the rebate?
I got these for ~$9.99 in the last deal. They are WAY better than my Crapaq 2.0 speakers. The sub is very powerful, and the high and low range are good. Only lacking part is the mids. But then again, the speakers are tiny, so you can't really blame them.
Overall, they earn an A+
I would recommend that you stay away from these USB 1 capture cards. I bought this Dazzle DVC 80, and although the USB bandwith was supposed to be good enough, it wasn't. Every now and then the video would drop lots of frames, and the sound was always dropping out. Stay away from these, instead...
Hmm.. I have looked everywhere for that info. Do you think you could tell me what that trick is, or at least give me a link to the instructions? Thanks
I really doubt that you could pull the FSB THAT high. Although it might be possible if you don't have any PCI cards.
It really is a shame that the chipset was called the KT400, although it officially only supports 333FSB.
Then again, VIA had two kinds of KT333 chipsets. One could go up to 333...
hmmm.. You definitely have got a point with the whole memorial sales thingy.
Maybe I will wait.
As for rebates, I recently sent out a rebate for the k7vme that I got from mwave, but I haven't heard back from Soyo. Then againm I sent it only a few weeks ago, so who knows.
Yes, directron has nice cases, as well as some hard-to-find accessories.
I have ordered numerous part from them, and I am extremely satisfied with them.
For those of you that don't mind rebates, microcenter has an Athlon XP mobo for $9.99 after $50 rebate.
Microcenter link
$50 rebate is from SOYO and expires May 31st.
Features:
AMD Socket-A Based VIA KM400 Chipset

soft modding = software modding
this means that you do not have to change anything physically. You might need to flash the BIOS, or simply install different drivers. For more info, google around and you will find hundreds of sites dedicated to this. Sorry, but I can't remember any of them at...
I doubt it. As far as I know, the reason why it does not reach all the way to the back is that 9600's have their core located closer to the back. In the instructions, one can see that they are using a 9600, and that there is no gap. Thus, I doubt anything has changed in that aspect.
Nero Express is a feature of Nero. Express is like the "wizard". So I guess that they mean normal Nero.
Another thing worth noting is that there are two different PowerDVD's. One version, the OEM, ONLY supports 2 speakers, while the retail supports full surround sound. I am not sure which...
I got mine on Monday for $13 after tax (MN), and although I was at first disappointed by the very muddy mids and no lows in my CD player, I soon found that I had the CD player up to the highest, which did not reproduce sound well.
Now I am using them w/ my laptop and I am very happy with them...
Well, it does say NOT NEW and that it is from the manufacturer. This leads me to believe that either the warranty is the original but passed onto you, or Asus did in fact repair those. With mobos, a lot of simple things can happen that can later be repaired. This could range from broken NB fans...
I picked the speakers up yesterday. The sound is OK, but the midrange is fairly muddy. Otherwise, the low and high range are very good. Jeesh, the sub is as big as my Inspire 5300 sub. It is also very heavy.
I have yet to try it on my PC. ( I tested it w/ a CD player)
I will report back w/...
