    Now I read on some sites that the C-Media is the wrong driver, Windows Update throws that at you for some reason. Downloading a diagnostic program to see if I can find exact chipset.. Steven

    Hey, Thanks for the advice, I installed the Windows Update drivers for sound. It still says "No Audio Device". But now when i go to my Device Manager it has: C-Media AC97 Audio Device This device cannot start. (Code 10) Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device...

    Hello, Im using a Emachines T1600. I installed the chipset drivers here: http://www.via.com.tw/download/mainb...in1437v(a).zip Then the sound drivers here: http://www.via.com.tw/download/mainb.../2/alc201a.zip But still, in Sounds and Audio devices it says: No Audio Device found...
