I signed up with Surpass a week and...
All i can say is stay away from Epsons.
I've given them a chance, 3 times. Each and every time the print heads would clog like clock work.
You could let it sit for only 1 day and you'd have at least 1 clogged nozzle.
I swapped it out for a Firewire/USB 2.0 combo enclosure.
Running it off of Firewire made a HUGE difference, I am getting consistent 20 MB/sec transfers now.
kevinf2090: Vista displays the transfer speed.
I didn't take any chances. I stopped the format, pulled the drive out and plugged it into an old machine and did a quick format. Took like 30 seconds.
4 hours for nothing!
I am running a Western Digital Caviar SE 320 GB IDE UltraATA/100 in a Mad Dog USB 2.0 enclosure.
Right now I am transfering 46GB worth of data to it and the best it will do is 7.10 MB/sec.
Shouldn't it be at least twice this speed?
I just bought a new 320GB Western Digital and started the format out of Vista's disk management.
That was an hour ago and the progress only shows 13%.
If it makes any difference, I am running the hard drive out a Cypress chipset external enclosure. Could this be what is making it slow, or...
behardware.com's review shows the 2007WFP's reponse time is on par with the NEC 20WGX² FP.
and even thought Dell's rated refresh is 12-16MS, it is more on par with a 8MS panel.
The buzzing goes away when you turn the brightness up past 80.
As an alternative, you can get the Samsung 215TW that uses the same panel as the Gateway at Costco for $529 and it comes with a 3 year warranty.
Only thing that sucks about this monitor is that it only has a 1 year warranty and you can't buy the addon 3 year unless you buy it directly from Gateway.
My local Costco had it in stock for $539, picked it up there, because of their lifetime in store warranty.
And so far, I love it.
$200 out the door, cheapest places on the net are still $300+
Not the best UI in the world and you have to use Olympus's crappy software to upload music, BUT, the audio quality and volume is clear and loud. You can't beat 20GB for $199.99. Olympus's crappy software is manageble and not that...
I temporary installed a second harddrive so I can copy some files over.
After I removed the harddrive and restarted windows, if I open up My Computer or Explorer I will get the searching flashlight. If I am lucky this will only go on for a minute and then My Computer finally pops up. Shutting...
Is it safe to buy these off of Ebay?
The going rate for the exact same model in this deal is $300 +/- $20
Sellers are claiming brand new units, w 2 year warranties and a extra battery.
Don't see where they are getting theirs and selling them for so cheap.
After reading the instructions, that is a major waste a time and not worth the effort.
You can get a direct replacement Xbox DVD drive off of ebay for under $30 shipped.
Any XBOX Thomson drive made 2003+ are reliable and will read burned CDRs and DVD-Rs.
Got one for free when I bought my IP4000.
The scanner is fine for receipts or documents, but is a pile of crap for photos. If you are only going to use it for casual scanning, for the price its fine.
But don't waste your time for photos.
Talk about a score...
Saw this on Fatwallet this morning and jumped on it.
The discs are 8x and made in India so probally not the best quality, but for 6 cents a disc, no way am I going to complain.

There is only a $20 Canon MIR and a $50 Office Depot MIR.
In store price is $119.99, $99.99 if you can pricematch to Fry's.
Leave you with $50 or $30 after the rebate.
Where are you getting this $20 after rebate?
Even better deal...
If you have a local Fry's. They have the printer for $99.99 out the door.

$119.99 Office Depot In Store
