    No POST. Gigabyte Board

Sorry. It will NOT POST. As soon as I press the power button, there is a message on the screen that says, "Attempting to load BIOS from HD". It does that for a few seconds and then the system restarts. There is no system beep.

    Vista Ultimate 64 display issue

I remember seeing a 64-bit option on the display settings when I installed the beta version a few months ago. Maybe I'm wrong, but if your right....what is the benefit of 64bit? Is it only useful to those VERY few 64bit programs and software?

A few questions. How much faster is two drives in RAID 0 then a single SATA drive? And how much faster is three drives in RAID 0? My box is mostly for gaming and web browsing. Just curious how much more speed I can get. Will I notice a difference? Also, what about a 10k Raptor drive? How much...

    New rig with Dual-socket

My current rig is fine, I just built last September. E6600, 10K Raptor, 2GB RAM, NV 7900GT this thing is great. I was curios though, what if I were to buy a server motherboard with dual Xenons. Is there a reason those boards are just for servers? If I bought a dual socket board with dual xenons...

I am currently running a Linksys WRT54GL wireless router. I love it. It's steady, no problems and it's secure. The issue is that I am loosing signal in the front of my house. help on RAM brand and new sys suggestions

If your running dual channel with a dual core chip, you wont need more than DDR2667. With dual channel memory, you need to muliply the RAM speed by two, so that would be 1334 which is already faster than the 1066FSB your CPU takes. Depending on price, going with 800 would not be necassary.

Will PC2 1066 memoery work with my board?

So if I actually run DDR800, in dual channel, I wll have 1600 total? Let me just ask this, with the board I have, can I run 1066 memory? and if I could, does that mean I am running 2132? Basically I want to run the best setup I can, and the AT article I read said that you want to match your FSB...

Will PC2 1066 memoery work with my board?

Will PC2 1066 memoery work with my board?

An article I read from AnandTech informed that if you want peak perforamce, the FSB and memory speed have to match(i.e. 533FSB to DDR533). There was no mention of FSB being "quad-pumped".

Will PC2 1066 memoery work with my board?

This is the board I have(P5N32-SLI SE Deluxe). The DDR standard for it is DDR2 800. However, it can take a 1066 FSB for a chip. I am going to buy a Conroe when they come back in stock, so I want a board that can handle 1066 memory. Is their such a board? Will the board I have handle it?

I am starting to build my first PCI x16 pc. I am coming from a GeForce 6600GT AGP 8x card and I want to go bigger and better. 800Mhz Ram and CPU

There are a couple of options to help speed up the flow of data from the memory controller to the FSB. One is to use dual-channel memory, so the buffer will fill up in half the time. This helps to explain why Intel benefits more from dual-channel RAM than AMD: their FSB and memory controller are...

    Whats the difference?

I was going to get a Raptor, but at $160 it didn't seem worth it. The reviews I read said that they were fast but not amazing fast? If I don't care about noise level, should I dish out the extra cash for a Raptor, or just get a SATAII? This would be mostly for gaming.

    Looking for new VC

Would I even notice a difference with an X800? Slighty off-topic: I fitted a new rig with an PCIe board, would it be worth the extra dough to get a board with a dual PCIx16 for the SLI option. Does a board with a single x16 slot run that much better than an AGP? I have been using AGP only...
