seems too over the top to me anything over 8 GB of ram is overkill i would suggest getting a bigger board i.e a gamers board {£150 plus} if you are planning to use the full 32 GB some boards can be quite buggy when installing ram to the maximum i would say this is your problem, as for your hard...
personally i would have gone with a full tower atx gamers case, but it should fit, but be warned the nvidia graphics cards gt x series are rather large so ensure the case is big enough before you buy...but everything seems compatible and should work nicely
plenty you have a 650 watt psu, most modern graphics cards are well over-emphasized, in other words they hardly use half what the manufacturer recommends you will be fine providing you don't add other card or crossfire as this adds quite a bit to power consumption.
a hot heat sink is normal, but a extremely hot unable to touch heat sink normally means the motherboard has suffered a surge or has been damaged in some way this is from personal experience
