    Watercooling Guide @ Toms

This article is pretty funny. http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/2007/03/2...or-watercooling-your-pc_uk/page10.html So they decided how far the PC would OC on its stock cooler, and then compared temperatures with water cooling. What for? If you're spending extra $$$ on a watercooler, then it's...

    SiSoft Sandra broke my PC

Here's my story - had a Core 2 Duo E6600 + AsRock motherboard, couple of SATA drives, 2GB RAM, and an Antec TruPower 380W power supply. Upgraded to Vista, and got stability problems (crashes in Vista) due to the onboard graphics on the motherboard. Bought an X1650 Pro, but didn't fix the...

I've got my E6600 and my P5B-E Plus mboard with 4 * 1GB Corsair PC2-6400 RAM (CM2X1024-6400C4). Just trying to work out my settings for OC. Corsair says: Tested at EPP SPD settings (4-4-4-12) at 2.1V SPD programmed at: JEDEC standard 5-5-5-18 values at 800MHz EPP standard...

    Reduce graphics card memory

I have a 512MB ATI 1650Pro, and 4GB of RAM with Vista 32-bit. Due to mapping of video RAM, I only have 2.93GB available system RAM. Accordingly I'd like to reduce the video RAM to 128MB (I don't play games, the extra must be completely useless). Is this possible?

Any reason to install ATI drivers

I'm currently reinstalling Vista, and I'm wondering if there's any reason to install the ATI driver package. Windows Update has a generic R520 driver, and when I installed Vista before the ATI catalyst software seemed really bloated and unstable. So for me as a business user (no games), is...

Vista - don't expect to be able to change motherboard without reinstalling Windows

Well, silly me, I believed the hype - change motherboard, and Vista will just work perfectly. Er, not quite. I had an Asrock 775Twins motherboard + E6600 and a RAID1 array running Vista (Uli RAID controller) I replaced the unstable Asrock motherboard with a Asus P5B-E Plus motherboard...

Possible to overclock with 4 sticks of RAM on P5B-E Plus

I've ordered 4 * 1GB Corsair PC2-6400 CL4 RAM (CM2X1024-6400C4) to go with an Asus P5B-E Plus motherboard (which is very similar to the P5B Deluxe) and an Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro 7. I chose the RAM because it's listed on Asus' compatibility list for use with all four slots. I've read that...

E6600 with onboard graphics - memory VERY SLOW - will new gfx card fix it?

    I have a Core 2 Duo E6600 with a RAID1 2* Western Digital 400GB raid-edition SATA drives. It's running on an AsRock 775Twins-HDTV motherboard, which I picked to allow me to reuse my 2 * 1GB A.DATA PC3200 DDR1 CL3.0 memory (there's little performance difference between DDR and DDR2, so I saw...
