thanks for the help MrBeagle and Blazer7. seems like after a search on the web, this is a really common problem. Thank GOD it's not the motherboard.

setting the speed to 10 mbps Full duplex seems to have got it running
I'M having a wierd network problem with my board for some reason. I used it for about 3 days without a hitch and installed vista ultimate 32bit with SP1. Just came back from a trip which I haven't used the computer for about 1 week. Now the lan connection does not recognizes anything (get error...
Great! I still haven't fired up my x48 mb yet. I just bought an asus P5E-VM HDMI mATX for a HTPC so my cpu's cooking in there instead. I'll probably test the x48 when I bring out the matx to install the i/o plate. Thanks for the heads up and hopefully the Q9450 will come down in price a little...
Just received the motherbpard today. I was looking at it and kinda got a bit alarmed that the board has a small sticker over the area where the board is identified as a GA- ( ) board. The sticker says X48-DQ6... i didn't take off the sticker but just kinda alarmed if the board is really a x48...

Yes mistakes were made and yes we yelled and screamed about it and finally somethings done. But to put the lawyers/sharks in here is just gonna make things a lot uglier. GB will continue to feel the effects of this for a while with the loss of trust and it will take them some time to gain it...
For those that wants to continue the nVidia SLI route, good luck to u. (and Gigabyte make sure u back ur motherboard this time with whatever u advertise.) I am glad I'm going back to Intel chipset so I can avoid nVidia's issue. I'll just upgrade to a new GPU instead of taking the dual/triple SLI...
I just called leo today and got a response from costumer services about emailing them the receipt and sn number and stuff. (I emailed them April 8th too) They will be sending me an RMA soon they say. They are willing to trade the board for the x48-dq6 which is nice of them. I hope taking off the...
Wow I thought we were doomed to accept the poor treatment we're getting from Gigabyte. Kinda given up already but Beagle and gary are the greatest! Talk about bringing attention and making the issue known to everyone. Thanks for your support and efforts!!!
yeah supports been horrible from gigabyte. Bought a averdia HDTV card PCIe x1 and it didn't work. sent it back to newegg and received a 2nd new one. still doesn't work. think it's the PCIe x1 port... they want me to put in a different PCIe card to check.... not easy finding one since not many...
yeah we spend like uber amount of money on the board >300 and to have them stop supporting the board is so unfair. I'm definately going to be waiting on gigabyte products in the future. Maybe give them some time before I'm gonna trust gigabyte again.
Is there a way to install the raid driver without having a floppy drive for window xp? I'm having so much trouble since I don't have a working one right now and I just bought 2 Samsung HD501LJ. I don't want to pay the 7 bucks to buy a floppy drive I don't need.
everyone else are doing fine, OBR. I had no problem with my board and I'm getting a decent OC (3.6gig) and this is my first time OCing. So guess what? A "noob" like me is doing much better than u are.
i loaded back F4E because I had 3 random freezes after installing F4f. once froze when I was watching one piece on VLC, once while getting into a battlenet warcraft 3 game, and one just when I was surfing. It's too unstable for me.
Hmm the HardOCP review wasn't stunning. Seems like they think it could do better with the overclocking. Now that the reference board has matured, they are a pretty decent alternative to our boards.
Cool! And here I thought we're going to be left with no further support from gigabyte. Sooo... I'm seeing these absolutely great deals on rams on slickdeals these days. I'm kinda debating on if I should switch to a new brand of ram or stick with what I have. How's your experience so far with...

People... do you think that the problem could be from the PSU?
Thermaltake 600W is enough to hold my fort, isn't it?

should be enugh if u don't go dual graphics card. i have the same PSU with...
I don't know why people have so much trouble getting to 3.6 ghz. I leave mine's at 3.42 ghz since I had my board (9x380) and I am very stable at 3.6ghz....... I don't have much ocing ability either since is this my first overclocking board. Maybe I got a good ocing cpu maybe?
hehe I'm so glad I went out and bought mine like 2-3 weeks after it came out. Had been debating so long to either get the abit one or the evga one... so glad I waited til this one came out.

I think that probably the old lady is 50% at fault and McD was 50%. The only thing that makes our Court system frivlous is the humongous payouts they ask for and get. Punitive payments should be given out but maybe to charity or the economy. But ******, when people know they can win 50-100...
Hey Curr, Actually it was pretty simple to remove it. The plate itself is held on by some really sticky tape. and all I did was take a plier and pulled it off with a little bit of force. (brace the rest of the board and heatsink though because u don't want to break the rest of heatsink off. I...
Hello,
I'm new to the forum, but I've read this thread in particular because I got this board about 3 weeks ago and it's been great so far. I've actually have had pretty decent OCing with my current set-up. I've actually gottten it very stable with my E6600@3.6 ghz (400X9) with 1.425 cpu...
