    MSI Vs Asus

So the motherboard in my older system died the other day and I'm looking for a quick and cheap replacement. I've narrowed it down to two choices right now: - MSI P41T-C31 (http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=prodmbspec&maincat_no=1&cat2_no=&cat3_no=&prod_no=1792) - Asus P5KPL/EPU...

    Asus Support site broken?

As the topic summary says i'm looking for the latest Asus p5k bios but their support site appears to have been unavailable for the past 20 hours or so. I've just bought this motherboard and i'm having hell and all troubles including problems with the on board LAN cutting out and disabling...

    New Computer

I was looking at the PSU recommended and i see there is a 620x aswell, will the 520 really be enough when running the graphics card, at least 3 x HD plus all the cooling that i'll be running in the system (at least 4 x 120mm fans).

    New Computer

I've personally always preferred ASUS boards and the other only manufacturer i've used in the past was gigabyte so i've very little experience with abit boards. I'd heard good things about the p5k-deluxe and although its an awesome board its too expensive and way too much for what i needed so i...

    New Computer

Oh one more thing i forgot to ask about, although this is technically a software rather than hardware question - Vista or WinXP? I'm tempted to stick with XP till i hear about a service pack for Vista, knowing microsoft there are problems hundreds of problems with their new flagship OS.

    New Computer

Assume advice, thanks very much. i've re-priced most of it and added in the changes you've suggested including dropping down to a 8800 GTS 320 and it's knocked off a large chunk of change that i can put to good use on the monitors ;) What kind of FPS are you getting with that graphics card...

    New Computer

I'm still a little undecided on monitors, those are going to be bought next month or the month after when i get my bonus ;). Going for either a 22" Widescreen LCD 1680 x 1050 or i'm going to dual screen it with two 20" monitors running 1600 x 1200. I do have a temptation to go for a 24"...

    New Computer

So i've been running on my old Athlon XP 2k rig for so long now and its getting tediously tired and slow. I've been throwing around the thought of buying a new system and have done some searching around to find out whats half decent these days. Proposed Parts: Case - Antec Performance One...
