Congrats, If all goes as planned in the next week and a half I'll be done with mine too. I haven't decided if I'll walk or not. FYI- I'm 28, I'll be 29 in 2 weeks.
I am in my last class for my degree and would like to get a broad response base for my survey. It's 14 questions about IT certifications verses non-certified job skills. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.

The price for what you are getting is a very good deal. This upconverting DVD player is more than just a $80 progressive scan DVD unit that outputs HDMI. The Upconverting processor in the DVD player has the best picture quality you can get for under $800. This unit makes any DVD look sharper...
There are a lot of extremes these days on both sides of the Church vs. State issue. Atheists are pushing to get religion out of every facet of public life and there are just as many people of religion pushing to get it back in. As if trying to invent some grandfather clause that since it was...
Here is my post from the other thread:
I have the PC-V1000 and have been using it for about 2 weeks. I can tell you for my system at least it works well.
The Case is faily Quite I had an Xaser II previously and could hear it down the hall in my bedroom faintly with all the stock fans. I can't...
Mostly it's due to the architecture and the transistor count. They are on the same or lower manufacturing process as cpu's but it's not the primary objective to have fast chips, instead they need alot of bandwidth. Also there are alot of parallel pipelines for executing multiple instructions at...
I'd go with that card You feel is more future proofed. They might release a new version of the game. The 9800 Pro would be my choice but I wouldn't pay anymore then 175.00 USD. FS/FT and Egay are good places to look for deals.
Ummm...OK Most of what you said is baseless.
If any Card is being used to 100% it's capacity in "most" all 3d apps. Then how can nVidia and ATi possibly optimize anything for their drivers?
They couldn't. There would be no room for Performance increases. Period.
Since driver releases...

"The power consumption of the X800 XT is about the same as that of its predecessors in 3D applications."
Trusted Reviews
"But amazingly, despite the higher clock speeds, ATI has managed to keep the power consumption to a minimum. Even the X800 XT card draws less power than the...
What is most bothersome about this whole debate is that nVidia only has 1 feature to hold over ATi SM3.0 and even then from the tech descriptions it's not a big advance over SM2.0 only a more optimized path to take less of a performance hit.
So your basing your purchase decision on one feature...

Can I ask why you haven't RMA'ed the card? From what I'm hearing at Rage3d a 9700 RMA will usually get you a 9800. Why not fix the issue instead of spend more money? Unless your card isn't a Built by ATi Product then I guess I can understand.
There are a number of refurb 9800 Pro's you can pick up on newegg in this range. I did, I ended up RMAing the card to ATi since mine was actually defective, but most of the Refurb stuff works out of the box. It's a gamble but one I think is well worth it considering the retail warrenty. That...
OK lets put you on a show with a few hundred thousand people watching a see how you do. He was likely nervous. Not that it has ever happened to you or anyone else on the planet.
I will take issue with this one statement in your post. Who the Hell are you to judge anyone. Last time I checked...
Due to the monitor I use I play at it's native resolution of 1600x1024. With the settings on High and Low AA I can play the game but it is choppy every once and a while. I recommend 1024x768 if you want all the eye candy and don't want to spend 400+ on a new card.
I have had alot of problems with FarCry I ended up RMAing my 9800 Pro due to artifacting at Default speeds with the settings turned up. I've still had issues with my temp 9100. I'm going to wait till I get my 9800 Pro back and see what happens it is a VERY demanding game.
There will be a very small difference on most power supplys between using different combination of connectors because they all use the same main rail. If there is a voltage drop due to power draw all of the devices will recieve this to a varying degree. It depends on the capacitors in place on...
I haven't noticed any ghosting on mine, but then again I'm more intent on playing the game then on seeing if pixel refresh is slow. Anyone notice it with theirs? Or know someone who has?
Maximum PC in Jan, 1999 gave the SGI 1600SW LCD Monitor a 10 out of 10. Since reading that magizine I wanted that display. In the fall of 2002 I was give the opportinity, SGI was clearancing the remaining inventory on this monitor for $600 with the required PC adapter. Since owning this monitor...
I received my speakers today Via FedEx Ground. Was a pain to get them but they showed up and work great. Thanks for the deal. Now to turn in the that rebate....
No currently the old order is showing as Shipped and the new one is showing as Processing...
My CC Account is not showing the Credit but it is showing the other deduction. So we shall see.
I called today to check on my order since it still had not been delivered. The CSR transfered me to some other Median Help Desk which confirmed the speakers never even shipped. They canceled the order refunded my money then reordered the speakers at the same price. I now have a Delivery Date of...
Well, I got in on the deal. These *should* be delivered today, but if it actually happens is anyones guess. I did a chat support session with Melanie to find out the delivery information and a tracking number if possible.
This was the result:
Diablo6178: I have an order number XXXXXXXXXX. It...
AnandTech Review of Case
I have preordered the case. I like the change in design enough to see about it.
From the 3 different reviews I've seen and all the pictures I've looked over it is a well thought out ATX implementation of the BTX design. The case has been devided into three zones. The...
Prime 95 was run for 12 hours over the weekend at 2300Mhz with no errors (I did it after I lapped the Heatsink which was needed badly)
My temps went from 52C at full load down to 48C after the heatsink was lapped.
Memtest does have a few errors at 184 on my memory at stock voltage but all...
My 1700+ runs at 2300 @ 1.775Volts.
I'm using a Lapped Alpha 8045 to cool it with a Panaflo 80MM U1A Fan.

Iovah- Yes that's a good stepping and week chip.
Look HERE to see just how mcuh it helps out. at best about 17% on a dual CPU setup less on a single and from looking at it against the competition it's just catching up. As for HT on the Desktop when they impliment it isn't there even less of a difference then? I'll agree that HT will provide an...
