Yeah same thing for both drives. I let it sit there on the windows setup for 20 minutes and it didn't do a thing. I ran the hp drive test, and I downloaded some ultimate boot disk thing that had various testing programs and all of them that I ran came out fine. This is one crazy problem!
Yeah I cleaned out the heatsink pretty good. There was quite a bit of stuff in there. I ran memtest and it passed, I also ran some hard drive tests and they were all fine. It kinda seems like the computer cant communicate with the hard drive but then I wonder how it is able to run tests on it. I...
I cleaned out the dust from the heatsink, but could the cpu really overheat in 15 seconds? Something is just not letting the computer start windows. So do you think the problem is the processor? This laptop uses regular amd processors so I could get one pretty cheap.
The fans don't always run on maximum. Could it be dead cpu? It seems weird that i would partially work and then just stop. It seems like it can do easy stuff but then when it needs to work it just stops.
I left my computer running overnight and when I went to use it in the morning the screen was blank, the fans were still running. I held down the power button but that didn't turn it off so I unplugged the battery. When i restarted it the BIOS screen showed up then it just sat at a blank screen...
I havent changed anything lately. I tried moving the ram around and it does the same thing. I am thinking its the motherboard cause i can even get the bios screen to show up.
My computer started doing this today. When i turn it on the fans spin, cdrom blinks and then like 4 seconds later it turns off. It never makes it to the bios screen. I thought it was a power supply problem but they i tried using a different power supply and it did the same thing. Next i tore...
When I am booting my computer some times it will get stuck on the windows booting screen with the little bar moving and the bar will stop so if i move the hard drives ide cable the bars will start moving and if i let go of the cable then it freezes back up. Also when the computer boots up...
I am using internet explorer 6 with all the latest patches and when I click on a link and it opens a new page to go to the location it doesnt load it just stays blank, the only way it will work is if i push stop then push enter. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks
yes the dhcp is enabled on the router, and when I type ipconfig /all it shows the same ip as on the router setup page, and the dhcp is enabled on my wireless adapter. Any more thoughts?
The router is connected to my dsl, and yes the computers that have a wired connection to the router have the internet, just the wireless doesnt. I dont have to login to get on the internet.
I just set up my wireless router and I have a usb network adapter on one of the computers and with that computer I can access the other 2 computers but I cant get on the the internet. I know that the router see's that computer cause it is listed, I just need to figure out why the internet...
When I turn on my computer and the bios checks the memory it goes in a loop. (ex. it goes from 0-25 and back to 0 and goes on forever until I press escape to make it skip the test.) Does that mean that it is a problem in my memory or is a piece of my motherboard dieing? My computer has also...
I think it was a bad stick of ram becase it seems to be working without one of the 3 sticks. Although when I boot the computer and it does the memory test the numbers go from 0 to 512 (which is how much memory i have) and then it goes back to 0 and loops forever unless i have it skip the test...
Now my computer wont even boot up to bios it just stays blank, right now all i have hooked up is the cpu, motherboard, and 1 stick of memory. What could be the problem or how could i figure it out?
Now when I try to turn on my computer the fans and hardrive start but nothing shows up on the screen and the Bios thing doesnt beep, so does that mean it is my motherboard that is faulty? I cant get the computer to display anything on the screen and I am pretty sure its not the video card...
My computer has windows xp pro and I have a geforce 4 ti4200 graphics card, I have the latest driver for the video card. Also when my computer freezes or the video goes it is when i am browsing the internet or somtimes with other prorgrams and games. When it does freeze or lose the video the...
