I purchased my e6420 from MWave on Sunday afternoon, but as of Monday night it still has not shipped. Has anyone else had theirs ship yet? I need it by Thursday and with 3 day shipping, I needed it to go out today (they stated shipping within 24 business hours).
This was my first purchase...
So where are they getting them? Is this a gray market chip? If newegg.com doesn't hurry up, I may end up buying from BLT :-) I've been waiting a month for this chip.
I'm in the process of building a new box and am planning on going with a 8800GTO card for graphics. But I am also planning on using my ATI TV catpure card in the same machine. So I will have to install drivers for both cards - IS THAT GOING TO BE A PROBLEM?
Has anyone done this???

First off.... Thanks for the replies. Check my card again today and it appears to be working fine. I'm not sure what the white cord was doing on the original pin (I'm guessing grounding), it does not appear to be needed. As for the HIS card - think I will stick with mine. It cost me $100...
Picked up the on the deal a couple of weeks ago at Newegg for the 256 meg version of the 9800 pro. And yes, it did flash to the 9800XT with no problems.
When I first flashed the card I ran it with the stock cooling. My temps were in the 66-69C range. Card seemed to operate fine, but I did...
Planning on buying a A64 here in the next few weeks. My biggest problem so far has been the lack of a MB that really gets me excited. I'm looking for more then just the Chaintech... Little too basic for my taste. Also looked at the GIGABYTE GA-K8NS PRO - Nice once again, but it uses the...
Actually... That seems a tad slow.... I've got a 1800+ AMD and ATI 9800 Pro and I get about the same score. The processor doesn't made a HUGE difference, but it does effect the score. I would have expected a score close to 6K for you.
Add my name to the list. Although I wonder if they are just building a mailing list. I tried to go to the home page, but says site is still under construction. Oh well, what is one more piece of junk mail ;-)
Okay, I'm upgrading my current computer piece by piece and now is the time to buy a DVD burner. Would like to buy it this weekend so I can get in on this month's budget ;-)
Problem is that I think I have read TOO MANY threads ;-) I'm less sure of what I want now then when I started. Here are...
Is there anyway to tell? For example, I am looking at the OEM 3000+ at newegg right now.
Dave: If you drop your price any, PM me.... I could easily be talked into it ;-)
I keep hear people talk about getting the CG version of the A64's. Since I am fixing to build an A64 3000+ system, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Funny... I just emailed Newegg asking them about their relationship to Egghead a few days ago. The CS Rep they get that question ALL the time ;-) And yes, he gave me the same answer - nothing to do with them.
Good question, I really hope someone responds to this. Been meaning to ask the same question. But I will be using the AMD64 3000+ CPU. If we do decide to overclock, what memory should we use????
Same thing use to happen to me while playing call of duty. But since it only happened in that game, I'm just assuming it was bug. Overheating is a possibility, but look to see if the problem is spread out amoung multiple games/apps.
I got lucky on the newegg deal earlier this week and picked up the 256meg version of the 9800pro. The deal is that I am in the middle of building a new system and don't have everything yet (i.e., motherboard). Is what I am wondering is if I should try flashing the new card on my existing...
Thanks for the post. Just picked one up!!! Been flirting with buying a 9800pro w/ 128 megs the last two days. Probably would have bought one in the next 24-48 hours. For a few extra bucks I get the chance to bump this one up to a 9800XT.
Now if I can just find a GREAT deal on a AMD64 3000+...
Hi, and thanks in advance for any reply's....
Going to upgrade my system early next week, and have been doing some research over the last week or so. I'm currently running a Celery 300A (OC'ed to 450 of course) with 64 megs of PC-100 memory (muskin GH chips if memory serves). That all sets on...
