i don't want to step on any toes :) it's not a "for sale" thread, but i'm thinking about selling a pc either as a whole or parting it out and was looking for some pricing guidance. i didn't see a pricing guidelines forum and was wondering where i could post without making other members crazy...
occasionally when booting up my htpc i get a message during boot, instead of "verifying dmi pool" i get "building dmi pool" followed by "flash rom protected", which consequently leads into a no system disk detected.
power off, power on will reboot fine. happens perhaps 1/3 boots. does not...
has anyone had to deal with revenge heatware when purchasing an item? i have not left negative or neutral feedback yet but am inclined to. i'm concerned about revenge heatware however. thoughts?
basically it took a week for them to ship the item after telling me it would be out next day...
evga 7600gt sli'd was the original plan, however just picked up a 7900gtx at a pretty good price, thought i'd throw the 7950gt in there since price new is comparable to what i paid for the 7900gtx.
thoughts on this comparison, both stock and slightly oc'd on air?

short version, have an ibm ide drive i'm selling and want to verify that everything is in perfect working order. i use usb connections to hot-swap my drives so it isn't an internal drive, not attached during boot obviously.
ran error-checking with auto-fix errors and scan and recover sectors...
well, time for some comparisons. any ideas as to which might be the better way to go, or has someone already run similiar tests? i found this link detailing the geil at 667 3-4-4-8 against the geil upped to 800 4-4-4-12... the geil at 667 with lower timings was slower as can be seen. i imagine...

i used to use the zalman vf700, it was fantastic... but it won't fit in my new matx case due to poor layout.
i'm thinking i need to watercool my 6800gt and have limited space to do so. the design of my case cools everything except the agp slot well...
the system has been cruising along fine with 2x512 geil ultra pc2-5300 ddr2 667 dual channel. decided to maximize ram before upgrading processor and vid card, so i purchased two more identical sticks for 4 total.
