What program can I use to download an entire web page and linked pages to my HD so I can upload to another hosting account?
I need to get THIS page, and all the subpages.
If you notice iasap.org has expired and the person that registered it is no longer with us. The domain name has now...
cmetz, thanks for the input. I have Cat5e between the two places now running well for two years. Was looking for a way to make the setup safer.
This is a farm out in the middle of nowhere, yes we strangely have very good cable internet here but pay very little attention to building codes...
I currently have Cat5e between my house and office. Its just under the 100m mark so works fair. PVC buried, cheep Cat5e inside that, tried to keep the wire as loose as I could to help with shrinkage in the winter (putting that to the test now with -4F temperatures).
Question 1, where can...
That was on a Samsung 931BF I got from BestBuy LINKLINK, with an analog cable. DVI cable did not come in the box which kind of irritated me. Going to take it back today for:
One. No DVI cable in the box. Not going to spend extra to get a cable. Huge pet peeve of mine, but my fault as I...
xtknight: I was jsut following your "Test your black level" link. I can start seeing slight differences at RGB(4,4,4). Is this good/fair/poor?
Can see diferences up to RGB(2,2,2) if I look at the LCD from the side.
Still drooling here over this deal. I wish some one with more knowlage about LCDs (not hard to do) would review this product. The clincher for me is the HDMI support. I figure by the time I need HDMI some one will crack it, but why chance it.
Wow looks impressive. I heard that a slew of large monitors were comming out at low prices for this X-mas season. Didn't think I would be seeing this low of a price.
Thanks for the advice on the Chimei LCD being the same panel, significant price savings.
I think I will have to pass on the Chimei after I looked at their webpage. The LCD is not even listed, no drivers and no warranty in the US. Where Samsung has a reputation, from what I read, for good...
I am thinking of buying a new monitor. What I am looking to use it for is mostly serfing the web, but I do game and use PS some (both of which I am poor at but love dearly).
Samsung 225BW at Newegg
I know it has some backlight problems near the top and bottom. Not sure how much that will...
I AM WATCHING WONDER WOMAN!!!
I was a bit smaller then I am now when I fell in love with her. Little boy sitting there with glased eyes watching her spin, to young to know why he enjoyed it so much. She was my first girlfriend, at the time I didn't know why.
I give you my heart felt...
As my garage has sheet metal walls, I don't think a better antenna will work. I think I am going to be stuck burying a Cat5e cable between the two. Its the distance of 300ft that makes me nervous.
Or is there is a wired way of doing this at 300 ft. From what I have been reading 300 ft is max distance for LAN cable. Also it rarely works at this distance. Is this true?
I need to link my house with my garage, 300ft away. I might try to bury a cable to do this but right now am thinking about going wirreless.
Here is what I have to do.
Home PC
30 ft away window that overlooks Garage.
300ft to garage window.
60 ft to garage office PC.
So I am...
I would buy a used monitor from a local shop if I could find one in the Chicago area. Other then that I am stuck buying new.
THanks for the bit of suggestions on what used model numbers to look for.

I have to build a system for my sister. The main considerations for her system are, in order, price/stability/cost. So this is the system I am thinking about. Comments about these choices are welcome.
Following Anandtech Mid Range System;
CPU: Intel Pentium 4 3.0C 800MHz FSB (512K L2 cache)...
Thanks for all the input from everyone.
On the suggestion of wireless; I have to go from a 150yr old house to a trailer (metal sided) about 250ft away. With this distance and metal sides of the trailer I thought I couldn't do wireless. Unless you can mount your antennas outside the house...
I need to network a cable modem on one computer to another computer 300ft away. I will be burying a tube underground to pull a cable through. The idea is two houses share one cable modem.
My question is are the Linksys routers sold in Best Buy good enough to push a signal this distance? If...
