I am curious to compare Build Info between other CT802 owners. Post values from Settings-About tablet or Android System Info. There seem to be differences like functioning gps versus not, root access versus none.
The CT802 I have examined has root access and no GPS functionality.

Problem and Solution to a BusyBox update causing a mount failure of internal storage of the Idea USA tablet model CT802
After updating BusyBox to version 1.20 using BusyBox Installer 7.9.2 by Stephen Stericson and power cycling the Idea USA tablet model CT802, the internal storage partition...
Picked this up.
After turning it on for the first time, I changed a few settings ( display sleep time to 30 minutes, enabled wifi, set up Google account). Next, I logged in to Google Play and installed BusyBox by Stephen ...

For me, reading ebooks is a critical task. I played around with the CT802 at my local Fry's for about an hour. I downloaded and then opened a 22 MB PDF version of Volume 30 of the magazine called Make, http://shop.oreilly.com/product/0636920022398.do, using Adobe Reader. I was disappointed by...
For anyone in Atlanta, the Duluth Fry's has one on the floor. A sales associate, Phil I think, even connected to their Clear internet connection when store traffic was low (~2PM) so I could try out Netflix and Youtube.
Thanks, tifozi.
Looks like this CT802 has the Allwinner A10 system-on-a-chip (SOC) with 1.2 GHz single core Cortex A8 CPU and Mali-400 MP GPU. The distributor incorrectly lists the GPU as the Vivante GC800 which led me to believe that the CT802 has a RK2918 SOC.
Kind of a bummer to to...
Seems like this model has the Rockchip RK6918 system-on-a-chip (SOC) with single core Cortex A8 CPU and Vivante GC800 GPU. Video playback is reported to be good. The silicon is optimized to decode VP8 @ 1080p. Reported to do well with H.264 too.

What GPU does this have?
Do you have time to run a benchmark? Not sure what would be a good one. Here is a list I found on phone arena.

Hard to tell what the actual specs are for that T1002 because the specs differ between Frys and the distributor. The ideausa.us web site is a mess.
Specs from Frys website:

Processor: A8. 1.0Ghz
Display: 10.1” LCD 1024x768
Operating System: Android 4.0
Memory: 512MB

Gigabyte representatives for the USA and headquarters both answered my question "what is the difference between rev 1.3 and 3.3" with the 1.3 supports a maximum 1066MHz FSB and the 3.3 supports up to 1333MHz.
rhetorical questions:
I wonder if they are in touch with their company's product...
renethx, thank you pointing out the motherboard differences.

I have been considering this Foxconn board or a DS3 to run an e4300 at 3 GHz, so I have been scouring the net for anecdotes.
I found numerous reports of stable overclocking with the DS3 and none for the Foxconn.
Here is a current FOxconn thread about attempting to overclock...
Okay. Now I am really confused.
Does anyone know why Gigabyte has apparently released a revision 1.3 of the DS3. Not 3.3, but 1.3. Newegg lists a rev 1.3 too.

Cheex,
Are you still following this thread?
From your sig, it looks like you ditched the Foxconn in favor of a rev 3.3 Gigabyte.
Can you describe what happened?

No description about what is different is available so trying it out could be a timesink.

I have not seen a software mod and I have been looking. The clock generator is not supported in systool, clockgen, cpusb and similar programs. The clock generator IC on the ECS P4M800Pro-M V2 motherboard is labeled RTM363-882. I cannot find its Realtek datasheet online.

That Asrock link now shows the 775Dual-VSTA does NOT support quad core. I think the reason the 775QuadCore-VSTA was creeated is the same reason that Dell updated the XPS 700 to 710. The quad core processor has hardware design requirements that the 775Dual-VSTA may lack.

I am wondering if the BIOS on the ECS board sets dividers for the AGP and PCI clocks based on the CPU's BSEL[2:0] value of 200MHz. So, when FSB is increased to 266, the AGP and PCI buses get overclocked into instability.
If this is what is happening, I wonder if ECS would tweak the BIOS to...
I have read one warning against connecting select lines when one is H and one is L.
How about insulating BSEL1 and then conductive inking from BSEL2 to the socket-side of the insulative material placed on BSEL1?
Not having an adjacent Vss makes a mod more difficult.
From page 13 of the datasheet.
Vcc=power for CPU
Vtt=power for FSB and I/O
Vss=ground
This thread discusses connecting BSEL1 to BSEL0 or BSEL2 to bring BSEL1 low. There was a mix of success and failure with a lot of variables...
J, I believe that you are correct.
You insulate a pad to draw it High and ground a pad to Vss to draw it Low.

If you can wait, get a the Asrock 4coredual-vsta. asrockamerica.com told me that the 4coredual-vsta will reach USA retailers in mid-March.

I have been looking for this too.
Digi-Key will take orders of 10 at a time - about $150 per 10.
silentmaxx seems to jut carry 40x40x10 mm fans, not 40x40x20.
I decided to order a Panansonic fan from Digi-Key since that is what they keep in stock.
I have this Flex-ATX computer right now. It's fairly loud.
I would appreciate any suggestions for Flex-ATX case models that are quiet with little customization. I don't want a new barebones system - just a replacement case.
