today i booted up my computer and it failed to start up windows xp. Puzzled, i restarted again and got the same message. Blew some canned air to clear out dust, checked for loose cables, etc. Did i miss something? I have a hard time believing that a simple restart can corrupt the operating...

For some reason, my motherboard wont recognize the 2nd stick. Is there anything i should check before i update the bios?
Memory is still something that im not so familiar with. I'm trying to add 1 stick of 512 pc3200 ocz memory to my rig. Currently i have 2x256 of the same exact memory with the same timings, but my motherboard refuses to accept this single stick of 512. Is this normal? Or am i doing something wrong?
