I recently got a new USB Turbo mouse trackball to replace my 10+ year old expert mouse trackball. It works great, except occasionally the buttons stop working after awhile. Anyone ever have this problem or have any idea what it may be? Everything else works fine while the buttons don't work.
Thanks all. For the price I think I'll just give it a try until I can replace the whole thing! The fan on my 9800 is drving me nuts!
Anyone know if most more modern cards are quieter than the old Radeon 9800? Just thinking ahead :)
Any ideas? I can't sem to find the power requirements for the card.
The PS is as follows:
+12v - 16A
+5Vsb - 2A
-12V - 0.3A
+3.3V - 16A
+5V - 19A
Thanks
I'm not overclocking anything and I"m running 1gig RAM, one hardrive, one DvD, and Athlon 64 3000+ chip, and windows XP home if...
I'm looking for a replacement for my 9800 Pro in my shuttle SN95G5v2 but it only has a 240 watt power supply. Could it run one of these (http://www.mwave.com/mwave/Sku...hmx?scriteria=4272963) or even a 7600GT? I'm looking for somethign quiet hence the fanless GS. What would be the best card it...
I'm not really sure what "all this trouble" is. Sounds like all I need is a DSL and Cable connection, and a Dual Wan Router with Load Balancing. So $100 for the router, ~$60/month for the ISPs.
What does a T1 with a good SLA cost? $400/month? Someday, but I'm not that good a trader yet! :)
That won't really work for me while trading as I don't want to loose access to my trading platform whatsoever. The minute or two it would take to switch connections and refresh my connections is way way too long if I have an open position.
thanks for the links, I'll read through them!
I would like to have both DSL and cable internet service for redundancy as I use my computer for trading stocks and I'm wondering how to go about doing it.
I am also thinking about building a new system as well and noticed some motherboards have 2 Gigabit ports already built in. Is that in...
I'm looking to upgrade my video card, but it seems that I don't have enough power to power any current AGP cards. Any suggestions on what the best card I can run is with the limited 240 watt PS that comes in the SN95G5?
I would like to upgrade to a 22" widescreen as well if there are any AGP...
Bummer. I really want something quiet, but much better for gaming than my aging 9800Pro (which is kinda loud).
I saw a few comments on making sure you had enough power for the card aswell, but I'm not sure if that is unique to the powercolor cause of the cooler, or if it applies to all...
And can a shuttle power it?
If not, what is the best AGP card that would work?
I currently have a Shuttle SN95G5 w/ 240 watt PS and Radeon 9800 Pro.
Thanks
Has anyone used this monitor? I will be using it for gaming (WOW) and charting for stockmarket stuff. I can pick it up for $229 which is pretty nice.
What about Acer AL2216Wbd 22-inch LCD Monitor?
I'm currently running a fairly old system- Shuttle SN95G5 with a Athlon 64 3000+, 1G ram, and...
Any love? Did I not make sense?
Will computers connected to a VPN router through another wireless router be able to access the VPN?
Are the any VPN Super-G Routers?
Thats what my friends and I use. We started it back when alot of online games still had crappy internet support/coding. Made actually detecting the games alot easier. I don't know alot about how VPN's are supposed to work, but one guy "hosts" (I don't know what its really called) and the rest of...
I'm looking for a wireless router I can use for online gaming. It looks like the D-link DI-624 super-g router or the netgear WGT-624 super-g router are the way to go. However, I'm currently using a Linksys VPN router for my VPN network. Is there a super-g VPN router or can I use my linksys in...
I gotta question, our IT guys are trying to set this up right now for video conferencing and it isn't working. They are using some box that "simulates" a monitor and is connected to a TV and the analogue port. They then have a TV in the TV plug. They are using the new little shuttle box with...
Thanks for the help.
It turns out the PS was the problem. Unfortunately it some how burned up part of the ATX power connector. 1 new motherboard and PS (enermax 465) and eveything is up and runnig again. I'm just glad it wasn't the geforce.
By the way Newegg ROCKS! I told them there was an...
Thanks for the replies.
Greg- do the memory slots on your board require you to guide the memory down a slot at the edges (not part of the white latch itself)? I am just trying to see if we have the same kind of slots.
Wind- Don't worry, I turned them around. The computer wouldn't function...
So many people have been having problems with the C1 post error that I thought I would share my experience. I just built an new computer on the 8kha+ with 768 MB of Crucial RAM. I got a C1 post error the first time I tried to boot so I tried every combination of my 3 sticks of memory I could...
I've posted this warning in several other threads already, but I'll do it again here. Be sure you put the memory in in the correct direction. The new KHA+ boards will let you seat AND LOCK the memory in place BACKWARDS! I did the same thing, luckily my memory still works, though I did burn my...
Also, be sure the memory is in the right direction. I just got a new 8KHA+ and the memory will actually lock in place backwards! Be sure the slots in the memory line up. I assumed that if it locked in place it must be in the right way. WRONG! I almost burned up 784 MB of Crucial RAM (Literally)...
As it turns out- the slots for the memory will actually let you lock the memory in place BACKWARDS! Be sure the groove in the memory is actually lining up correctly, don't just trust the slots like I did. Turned the memory around and they clicked into place easily.

I bought a 8kha+ board a few months back and had no problem with the memory then. Unfortunately I some how burned up the ATX connector (bad power supply or irregular power tot he house) so I replaced it this weekend ($99 at Fry's). I discovered the slots for the memory are different than my...
What are the rest of your system specs?
I was recently having a similar reboot problem with my epox board- kept rebooting all the time then the video would go out.
I finally used motherboard minitor 5 to check my voltages. +3.3 was at 1.4 so I checked the ATX conector. It had burned up some...
I left my computer on for a few hours the other day. No programs running. When I came back the screen was all white. I rebooted the machine and after the memory test I got a flashing white and gray screen with some lines and strange characters. I rebooted into safe mode and I actually reached...
We are experiencing serious lag problems using Citrix over our new Satellite connection. We are currently trying to run speed tests to see what the Bandwidth of our connection is. I suspect we will have latency issues in Citrix similar to Online gaming, but for now I'm hoping it is just set-up...
