I'm on a X30 right now. Although it doesn't have a resale value as high as a Pentium M chip, it still runs pretty well. The crappy part is that whenever there's a website that's a little graphic intensive, the page scrolling tends to lag.

Since T-Mobile chargest 10 cents per message, I'd rather not tell all the people on my contact list to not send me any text messages. I'm using a Sony Ericsson T610. I wonder if there's a GSM phone that doesn't have text messaging capability.

Most electronics should work fine because Japan and the US uses the same voltage (110), however, you will need plug converters.
I know it came out in 2001, but still. I'd use the Windows 2000 theme over the default XP theme any day.
