I ended up downloading an reinstalling every driver available on the HP site. So now my son is optesting the connection... we'll see how it goes. Thanks for all your tips!
There's no newer router firmware, it checks automatically and lets me know. Edit. Thats wierd how did my post about th firmware get ahead of the question?
It has been doing it out of the box. He hasn't even had a chance to use it cause of the problem. The wireless light illuminates fine. The net always has an exellent signal as indicated on the HP, the signal will be full strength and it still won't stay connected. The SSID and the encryption...
Recently I purchased an HP DV7-1270us laptop for my son. It has Vista Home Prem 64. No matter how far away it is from my wireless router(an older Belkin) is disconnects very consistantly. I have 3 other computers that never have had a problem, 2 Viao laptops and a home built machine. Is...
Hmm, now that you mention it, kinda forgot about that part. Thanks for the tip, I hope it works.
Also thanks for the tip on AHCI, I didn't know you need to have the drives set like that to get NCQ.
Last night I installed 2 additional HD's onto my Asus Rampage Formula MB, a 1TB Seagate and the Intel 80GB SSD. Both are there in the BIOS(latest revision), but Windows XP doesn't show either. Do I need to reinstall windows or is there a simpler solution?
Thanks in advance.
I just installed 4gb of 800mhz dual channel ram on my ASUS PB5 Deluxe MB, CPUZ sees all 4GB but Windows only sees 3GB. I though XP pro can see 4GB max?
Kim Jong IL has the rest of the world exactally where he wants them. He detonated that nuke to prevent someone from invading and overthrowing him. Striking first against NK is an impossibe choice. Here's how I think it will happen. More sanctions will be applyed, and NK will finally be...
Here are the things I learned from this post:
1. I shoulda bought an E6300 instead of my E6600.
2. Like little children crying for attention, trolls go away if they are ignored.
Someone please enlighten me on how this thing would speed up your connection, when the ISP for cable is like 10Mbps. So does it only speed up the connection from the output of the modem to your computer?
the external antena just sit on my desk, works well, no problems configuring the onboard wifi
unless u want N then u gotta buy a seperate card once they finalize the standard
No but they are burning him in effigy(however u spell it) in India. My favorite muslim slogan is "Behead those who say islam is violent" as seen during the Danish cartoon protest. Kinda says it all.
Almost everyday you can read about some homicide bomber blowing himself and his fellow muslims up at some marketplace, police station or sporting event, all in hopes of getting to those 72 virgins. I'm not gonna waste my time looking for links, if you don't believe it, I can't change your mind...
Well, since its a DC fan, and you usually have a + wire a - wire, you switch the + and - and the motor spins the other way. Sometimes you'll have a 3rd but its for rpm pick up.
You could use the one slot one designed to suck air out and then switch 2 wires on the power cable since its DC or take it apart and flip the fan blade over if possible.
I've seen a slot cooler from ANTEC that was desgined to blow outside air onto the video card by being instaled in the PCI slot below the card, perhaps that would work.
