Please help me understand this CurseTheSky..
How is it possible that i920 + 260-216 sli rig can be handled by a psu with a rating of 450?
OP also mentioned in his other thread that he will be oc'ing his cpu, which is known to reqiure alot of power.
If your going to be spending more then $230 for a psu, might as well pick up the Corsair HX1000. At least this way, you have more headroom for more parts and oc'ing w/out running into problems
Here's my CM690 with a Xigmatek 1283RS HS with a E8400 oc'ed to 4GHz.

Cable management is extremely easy on this case compared to other cases ive worked with before.
Im using 2...
So what psu will you be getting? My new set-up will be extremely close in spec with yours and I havent been able to decide which psu to get. I was hoping I could get away with using the
Antec True Power New 750 but it dont think it will happen =(
well i would just send you a pm but i cant see an option to do that..
as in for hardforums, such a pain not being able to use gmail... ill have to wait til an admin activates my account there
ive honestly had the cpu for about a week now and to be honestly i havent been able to get it...
fsb = 400
multi = 9
mem spd = 2.00
voltage manual = 1.35
C1E = Disabled
thats bout all i changed... and it works flawless

the voltage is 1.35 but coretemp doesnt report it correctly
i have that same mb with the e6850 paired with 2 x 1 Ballistix ddr2 800 and it works fine
you can actually oc it to 9 x 400 - 3.6GHz with only 1.3-1.35 vcore which shouldnt cause
any stability and temp issues
i have my e6850 with a mild oc of 3.6 with 1.375 vcore on bios right now, havent had a chance to mess it with more yet
temps on load was around 40 with a w/c setting on low
sort of sucks i cant use any programs to tell what my vcore on windows
both cpu-z and coretemp reports 1.275
For the E6850, it should say SLA9V
but again like capt caveman said its a G0 anyway so n reason to look @ the stepping
if anything just to compare with people... ill be more interested in the batch #
This thread will be for those of us who own the new E6050 series
Please include - Batch # / Series / Voltage / Temps / Type of Cooling
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I will post mine tonight
CHART...
order your stuff and get the rebates
as in for the cpu, pre-order G0 from tankguys.com for 5bucks and you will get it during the 1st two weeks of aug
that sounds like your best bet
so you have the qx6800? you should put that on your sig to let others know what you have.. instead of just putting core 2 quad... everyone has the tendency to think everyone is talking bout a q6600
am i the only one noticing that the 1st ss of toadster on the
cpu-z showed qx6800 @ 333.3 * 10 and his SS of
coretemp showed qx6700 @ 555.49 * 6
so which are you trying to show us toad? i hate to become thinking otherwise
yes.. the 2 x 1 Patriot ram
im trying to see how much further i can push my opty and dont want the ram holding me back * i know is not an expensive ram*
as far as i saw, it doesnt have any direct contact with any type of metal, all the connectiing parts are plastic.

im currently running my ram @ 3-4-4-12 @ 250 although on cpu-z it comes out as 277 but im messing with the voltage
it recommended voltage is 2.6, what would be a safe voltage i can lower it to?
i actually have the 185 but its a lousy OC'er
your better off getting a opty 175 or 180 and just oc'ing that to 2.8-3.0gGHz
trust me.... you'll save yourself alot of money
if you dont need the firewire just op out for the DS3R model, and im guessing you already ordered the graphics card?
between the cases, i guess ill go for the 900 case since i have it myself.. although it does feel a bit cramp compared to my Aurora & X-Navigator case but the cooling drop...
