Okay ived allready made a topic but nothing really happened...but my pc havent worked since mid november all it does on a power on was that it would start up but the cpu fan wouldnt move... then shut off after approx 5 seconds. So i just got my new psu cause i thought that was the...
Okay ill start out by saying that im typing this on my ps3. So the whole thing gonna look messy. But my story is this. In mid november my pc worked fine, but from one day to another the pc did the following : when i start it up then the system fans that are hooked directly into the hd pins in...
man im gettin this with allmost the same board. My gigabyte p956 S3 worked one day and refused to post the next(Any fan that is conected directly to the psu runs but the cpu fan doesnt and after around 5 secs the system turns off). I gave it to a guy to test the diffrent parts and the...
got a big problem atm.
Got a Ds3 rev 1.0 with f10 bios.
im using vista 32 bit
my pci-e is set itself to 1x which makes slowdown in evereything. I got a small oc atm at 3.2 ghz(8x400).
my gfx is geforce 8800GTS 640mb
got a big problem. my pc just shut down with a blue screen, and kept doing blue screens after that. so i went to reinstall windows but now it cant transfer most of the files during the windows pre installation. anyone got a clue what it is?
naw just the passiv cooler on nb, cpu got scythe infinity and got a fan infront and one in the back. 0.1 on the fsb and 2.2 v on the ram. And i bought em from a danish hardware dealer, best ram ived ever had(they can reach 1200mhz, but not on this board).
i just installed a raptor x as system disk on the intel ports and 2 250 wd caviars in raid 0 on the jmicron ports. Worked like a charm. Wondering why ppl whine so much O.o. Haven`t had a singel issue with this board ever. Only issue is that ived had is that its running to damn fast ^_^ .
got a HD question to here :
i just ordered these hds cause my old ATA133 are KIA
system disk : http://www.wdc.com/en/products/Products.asp?DriveID=190 WD Raptor X 150 GB SATA Hard Drives ( WD1500AHFD )
and 2 storage disks that gonna go in a raid 0 config :
storage x 2...
the 62 are in a orthos load ? cause that would make sense then.
If its normal load then u either upped ya volatage way to much or u got a coolings problem. My 3520(440x8 at 1:1 and 1.41 volt currently) runs at 41 idel and 47 load.
some settings are reported wrong bu windows and core temp while they show the correct in cpu-z and everest and some settings does it wise versa. Just some bug.
then its good that i got tthe 965 :P
btw im soone gonna buy a dino to be my system disk and then buy 2 storage disks in raid 0 on the Jmicron.
what kind of drives do u think is good for performance raid(games and lots of files)?
ppl tell me that 2 wd caviars gonna do the trick, but im...
my ram is doing 475 mhz at 3.4 ghz and be sure that its inside the core that the temp is monitored and not outside. Thats why u use a divider cause the ram can do more but the mobo can`t.
in the bios u got 2 diffrent mhz when u oc on this board
the first is what ya ram is rated for 800 if u got pc6400 ram and the second is the one that they gonna run on in a overclock. As u change the multiplier u can see that the number changes. This means that u can get ya ram to do higher...
do 4:5 instead of 1:1 aka 2.50 in bios.
Im using 2.66 or 4:5 on f9 bios
stock fsb for a e6600 is 266x9
fsb at 380 x 8
pci-e 100
ived uped my diim to 2.2 (0.4)
fsb at 0.1
and 1.387 volt on the cpu.
a note though. U need to have some good ram(and cooler) for this but if u do...
lol... i plugged my cpu fan to a molex instead cause of the same thing... i was like wtf it gonna burn down. Guess ill try and see if the bastard wanna cool my cpu or not with the mobo stick instead now.
well mine was rev 1 to and got it with F6 bios and booted up with my D9 micron ram with np. Running tight timing with 475 on these cellshock 6400 with 2.2 volts. Works like a charm. Oh and don`t forget my x-fi sound card. Workled from the minut i installed the mobo.
same as cicero here. Only issue ived had is that ived tried to find the lowest voltage needed for 380x9 and i think i found it at 1.387 volt. But im still testing. Ived gotten my ram up to 507 mhz with no issues. This board is awsome =) . Still using the F9 bios though
tried to run total war : medievil 2 that just died all the time when i tried to start it. With mhc +1 it startet and been stabil for eh 1 hour approx so far. cpu is 1 degree hotter though.
gonna check that out. My ram should be abel to run at 1200 mhz cause of the D9 micron but havent gotten any longer than 950 so far, cause it cold boots with anything over 1000.
got this wierd problem even though i know when it starts :
at 4:5 with 475 on ram and 380 on fsb with the timing 4.4.4.8 it takes my pci-e down to 1x. If i go back and change it to 4.4.4.10 it goes back to x16... more mhz on pci-e or volt ?
posted it at 3 am so guess how much my brain worked. Anyways used 2.5 with 475 mhz on the ram and 3420 mhz with the divder og 4:5 and 4.3.4.8 on my cellshock pc6400 ram. 182 k in aquamark 03, 32 k in 3dmark03, 18 k in 3dmark 05. 14.985 in superpi and still need to dl 3dmark06.. pretty neat imo
bios is confusing.. argh.
whats the diffrent dividers in windows ?
i know that 2.0 in bios is 1.1 but 2.5,3.0 and 4.0+ doesn`t ring a bell here. Anyone know what the diffrent names stands for in dividers ?
running good atm at 430 fsb in 1:1 on my e6600 but i want more ... x.x
wierd haven`t had a singel problem goin to 3.5 ghz with 500x7 on my cellshocks. Only bios i had that gave problems was the F6 that messed with my x-fi soundcard.
got bios f6 when i bought my d3. After 5 reboots my x.fi just disapeared. So i flashed to f9 and reinstalled the x-fi driver and im running with a oc of 3.0 ghz on my e6600 with nps but thats with a 1:1 divider.
gonna get this mobo tommorow and got my 8800gts today. But i was wondering if anyone got problems with cellshock ram and e6600 ?
my ram is cellshock 6400 4.4.4.12 cl4 2 gb dc
