How tough is airport security on a laptop?

As the topic says, I just got a brand new laptop, and I want to take it on the road with me, I was wondering how much harassment is it going to go through in the airport security since I've never traveled with a laptop before, and don't want to damage it. Thanks.

If you were looking to buy a Dell inspiron laptop

Dell has just issued a $500 coupon off a $1499 or more inspiron systems, that's up to 33.3% off. I've been tracking dell coupons for some time now, and that's the hottest I've seen. My guess is that since Santa Rosa is coming out sometime next month, now its the time to get rid of the "old"...

a laptop QUESTION to the hot deals wizards...

I'm looking to buy a new laptop (right now looking at Dell Inspiron 1705), I can do it in either one of three locations NY, south FL, or SF. I'd appreciate if you can comment regarding where I'm most likely to find a better deal, and/or tell me where to look. Thanks.

    I'll google this later but...

I'm going to be in SF for work late next month for about a week. Since I've never been in SF or anywhere else in the west coast, I was wondering if there are any locals here who have some ideas regarding what will be worth my while in my spare time, in terms of sight seeing, dining, shopping...

Does anyone know when the next unreal tournament is due?

Man, the previous ones were amazing, I mean first UT2003 and then UT2004, we spent hours on campus playing this game, well now I'm a little older, but I can't wait for a new UT... Anyone knows what's taking so long, and when is it due?

    Well that sucked.. **epilogue**

Went out with my family to one of those all (the meat) you can eat restaurants. As I was chewing (scraping) on the bone of this steak I just had, I suddenly felt like something broke, I was hoping it was a piece of the bone, but it felt too weird to be that simple. A quick inspection with the...

This is getting pathetic now, seriously

According to this British newspaper Israel is now coordinating with the U.S terms for preemptive strike on Iranian nuclear facilities. I say to this; "yeah right..." To me that just sounds like a lot of barking for no biting. I'm not sure yet how I feel about a preemptive strike on Iran...

OMG! I nearly soiled myself watching this vid...

You gotta be a little patient with this vid, trust me its worth it. Real shame though, I was hoping I'll be able to sit back relax, and bark orders at my PC...

Poll: you talk about the issue all the time, but bottom line

Read a lot of threads of related issues, but I didn't manage to get a clear cut view of where AT's P&N opinions tend to, if at all. Added a couple of extra questions for an elaborated view. Sorry if its a repost, I didn't find a similar poll, though it seems logical to me that this one is not...

I was about to upgrade my CPU but

Saying that Intel is planning a new 80-core cpu which will have the computational power of aprox. 1 tera-flop... "640K ought to be enough for anybody." -- Bill Gates, 1981 Well maybe he was a little off, but what can a home user do with 1TF cpu? (in other words what is it/will it be needed for?)

Israel launched a first "extreme circumstances" Arrow missile test

According to The Jerusalem Post Israel has launched its latest Arrow missile test Sunday night (local time). I think this is no surprise given all the 'trash talk' coming out of Iran lately. It seems as though both the U.S and Israel are getting ready to end the Iranian nuclear threat, while...
