The people on ebay dumping their cards for so low a price, they are cards that were used for mining despite anything they claim, and they are most likely beat to death running 24hrs a day in high heat, at full power. Sorry but you are a fool if you actually think its good for a card to be...
It seems a lot of the trolls don't comprehend the fact that people PAY money for this. Something that costs Microsoft nothing to manufacture, and no middle men taking half the profit. The only person stealing is Microsoft.
Microsoft is just screwing their customers anymore. Now apparently...
What kind of biased review is this? Along with many of the comments.
You claim the 680 beats the AMD cards in every category which is complete nonsense. Even from your own benchmarks, only half of them did it beat the non overclocked 7970. And the other half the benchmarks were the same or...
I remember reading a chat log that was posted last year (Aug. 2011), with Sabu in it. Another hacker named Virus accused him of being a snitch, he obviously was right about everything he said (at the time Sabu was a rat/snitch but was pretending he wasn't)
This quote at line 932...
Why are they updating Windows 8 drivers before they are updating Windows 7 drivers?
I've been noticing some annoying bugs lately with the 7900 drivers. For one thing they don't like sleep mode in Windows 7.
ATI/AMD seems to always beat Nvidia in technology, whether a card is faster or not, they always adopt new standards faster and use newer technology sooner.
They have a newer version out now, with a little note below the ASIC score, basically saying that a higher percent is better.
I'm not so sure I buy that idea. How do they even know what they are calculating is even correct?
My Sapphire 7950 actually scores a little higher (76.7%) than some of...
I don't know if what X-Bit is saying is correct or not though. On other forums I've seen people say that their card with a lower score overclocks better. (from people who have more than one card)
Its unlikely he will get it sold due to the fact that Microsoft has someone who checks ebay all the time, and craigs list. They usually close the auction and send a warning letter.
Although some sales do get through. I can't remember the guys name, but last year I noticed one ebay buyer who...
This benchmark will most likely be a flop due to the fact of so many restrictions. First, the Trial version apparently lets you only use it ONCE (you have to get a key from their website to run it once). That has to be the stupidest thing they have done.
That and the fact it requires DX...
Its not a real big deal, but thought I would post this in case someone knows why this happened.
I just purchased a Kingston 4g DataTraveler 100 Flash Drive. The first thing I did was run an HDTune benchmark on it.
The first tests seemed abnormally fast (33.2mb/sec Read speed). I did the...
Have you tested all your Transcend ram with memtest? I have two sets of matched transcend ram... four 1gb sticks total.
Two of the sticks give me errors in memtest, the other two sticks pass with no errors (when each are installed single by themself). However all 4 sticks pass with no...
Why is it the people who have had the problems sending the data are the ones who are getting the reward before anyone else?
Hopefully Microsoft will send a confirmation email when they do send it so I will know. I think someone in the USPS in my area is stealing mail. I've received some...
Forgot to add, in that Hardwarecanucks review, he says that most people probably will get older drivers with their retail card that won't be as good as the latest version he has. Apparently the testers have access to the latest drivers, and that they had quite a few revisions just for this x2 card.
Not sure if its been posted here or not, but Hardwarecanucks has their review up also. I have always liked their 3870 review as they are very detailed, and easy to understand graphs. The 3870x2 seems to do very well in his comparisons. He even has the card taken apart to see what it looks...
You can't get an accurate reading of a games performance by just playing the game, it MUST be a canned benchmark to be fair and have accurate readings. Anything else just makes for unfair comparisons due to not displaying the exact same graphics between cards, or human biased opinion. I know...
I would agree about Newegg. Usually (not always) Newegg will start with a normal price, then jack it up if the product gets good reviews. Although when I checked just now, it looks like Newegg has a large supply of these cards, at least 99 of them for the Sapphire.
I'm not an ATI or Nvidia...
The Phenom actually does pretty well in Crysis:
http://www.techspot.com/review...erformance/page10.html
In fact it beats the Intel cpus in quite a few benchmarks when run at the same speed. Or at least its not the awful cpu it gets made out to be. Its biggest problem is that is doesn't...
From a previous message, I see that you have a e6600 cpu and a 8800gts? I was wondering what your fps normally is in Lord Of The Rings using the Ultra high?
I know the game fps varies a lot depending where you are in the game.
You can buy this from Newegg for $240 shipped.

All you people trashing AMD won't have a smile on your face if AMD goes out of business, and you will see what prices Intel jacks theirs up to. Cheaper prices didn't come along until AMD...
According to the Nvidia fans, this is an impossibility. How can this be if the card sucks and is so slow.
I'm just being a little sarcastic, I agree with what you have said. I think the card has a built in limit to how far you can overclock though, unless you use a bios hack.
No, its more like this thread is just another Nvidia fanboy bashing ATI/AMD thread. Fact is, ATI has their PowerPlay in their new cards for saving power when its not needed.
I had debated on getting this for my 3870 also. But I would bet it would void my warranty (I have a sapphire 3870).
My fan currently is making a very low, almost grind noise. I only hear it at a certain fan speed though.
All these retail stores jacking up the price above retail, its borderline price fixing going on. At some point I wouldn't be surprised to see them sued.
I would take a 3870 any day over this card. In fact I prefer it over the 8800gt just for the features it has.
I do not own this printer yet anyways. But if you search on ebay you can find trays for it, and it shows the tray version number I think on the picture.
Thats the problem with the IP4000. It such a popular printer and such non-existant supply anymore, any place that sells it would cost a fortune. A merchant on Amazon sells it for $500.
Do you live in the United States? I thought the version they sold in the U.S. didn't come with the cd tray, or did they change that for this model?
Also is it quiet? I know my IP4000 is quiet, but I was going to replace it due to printhead problems.
I debated about getting the IP4500 or...
I think I remember reading in the latest driver release that the problem you described with the auto-tune locking up is a known bug, but not fixed yet.
Release Notes Link
"The Windows Vista operating system may fail to respond when running the Auto-tune utility found in the Catalyst...
If there ends up being a huge difference in speed between the two, that will be bad news for everyone.... as it will be continued jacked up price gouging by Newegg... probably lasting into next year.
Nevermind, the review I linked to I just noticed they are using crossfire I think for one of the stats. Although I'd still like to know how they even have the cards.
Funny how one reviews shows something, and another review shows the ATI card faster.
http://iax-tech.com/video/3870/38703.htm
I'd like to know how any of these people even were able to get the cards considering they haven't even been released yet.
One thing I noticed was that your old power supply was rated for only 18A on the 12v line. The EVGA website says their 8800gt cards require a 400w power supply rated for 21a on the 12v line for a single card.
Is Cmedia coming out with a new chipset soon? I ask because your post was interesting, and the fact that I recently purchased the Sondigo Inferno, and on their website he says their store is now out of them and telling people to buy them from another store if they can find them. Apparently its...
If this original post does buy one of those new Prelude cards, just so you know, you can buy it MUCH cheaper from Auzentech themself than you can Newegg who apparently feels the need to rip customers off. Newegg currently has it for $229 plus shipping, and you can buy it directly from Auzentech...
