ANyone Oc-ing with a 12X multi..or more! lol..Just wondered. Am running my 9650 at 11 X 333 with good temps and perfect stability. Wondered what 12X would bring and if so, what voltages you used.
Thanks,'Doc
Well AGAIN...Anad's and my reviews vary...the Enzo is much better than the TR 120 Extreme....oh well. I'm going to lap the 120 Ext and see what happens.
If you have room and can reach then you can screw them in, but there are a couple that I could only screw down form the side, with my fingers between the heatpipes....
You can put the Enzotech in any of the 4 ways which will fit. I looked at your case, and if you flip it over it looks just like any other case, so I don't understand why it won't fit?
I swapped out the TR for the enzotech....I am not sure how to get 1-1 ratio with the Ram. Right now I lowered my Overclock to 3487, 1550X9. I don't need to push it although I had no major problems at 3.6... I have the cpu at 1.325...I lowered it from 1.35 when I lowered the FSB by 50 from...
I in no way shape or form could install it with the mobo half out of the case. I got the backplate in fine but could not screw the screws down at all.
I took the plastic off the TR glue pad and it was fused to the mobo, so i need another for the spacing/cushion.

I did ..the one I have is the RMA. At this point I'll try lapping...$50 experiment. If I do a good job, it may cool better than the Enzo, if not I'll be ready to lap the 6600! lol The RMA'e Xtreme did cool much better than the first one, but not near to the review. But, I think I wrote in...
Got rid of my QX6700...they need H2O and I really don't have time now...when the next CPU's come out! ANYWAYS....Using an E6600. Installed my RMA board last night and put the Enzo on it...out of the case an absolute must. My room is 71-72F, but my computer is under my desk near the AC vent...
Well I just got it up to 3600. CPU at 1.35, cpuz says1.304(I guess you add .03 to that so 1.334)... 45 minutes of ORTHOS doing small stress the cpu stuff..FFT's? lol No problems there. My idle, doing this, is at 37-39 ish. The high for Orthos was 59, but ran more at 57-58. My startup temps...
I raised the cpu volts a bit to 1.3125. And the FSB is 1550. I'm now at 3492. I ran Orthos for an it was no higher than 54 on both cores. I tried 8X to see if I could get the FSB higher and how that worked. Don't ubderstand the safe mode thing...

Just wanted to see what you people thought of where I am and if my volts are OK...and where to go from here. I'm on air, so that's limited. Room is 28+ ambient. I am idling, right now writing this at 37-37. I ran...
The TIM was perfect, the mount was as well. Unfortuately the high spot prevented it from hitting. It's not the processor. The stock sink and the cpu had a nice thin even coat when I removed it....
<<<<Just don't overheat anything when doing this!>>>>> The Ultra Ex is taking care of this...
Don't be surprised if your cooler isn't up to stuff...I have had lots of heat issues with my QX6700...they are flat out hot. I just put my 6600 in because I removed my TR120Extreme which wasn't very cool..and am running the 6600 with the stock fan. The 6600 runs 15 to 20C ccoler than the 6700...
I have to get the Enzo Ultra on first! I emailed support to see if I could get another glue pad...maybe they'll mail one...
WHy did I get a quad..should have gotten the 6800. I picked up a 6600 duo and have that in now..idle with the same stock cooler...OCed mildly to...
COuldn't leave things alone...Decided to try the Enzotech on this mobo, since I won't have the RMA till midweek....big mistake. The TR Ultra Extreme is NOT flat. the AS5 had a Dime-sized bare metal spot of to one side. I think it needs to be lapped. SO I try to remove the backplate! Fused...
I got the fans at Sidewinder Computers..they have a pretty good selection.
I posted alot about my problems with the 120Extreme. These temps are very good. I have not lapped anything yet. But these temps are great compared to my First 120 Extreme...
TAT watches and temps all 4 cores but...
The temps are from Core-temp, the temps of all 4 cores. They are pretty much constant. Idle for the last 3 hourse has been 38-40-39-34 +/- 1C. I am not listing ALL the temps, those ARE the averages for the time period....of all 4 cores...The temps I got for load are the highest temps recorded...
I decided to damn the noise. I got a Delta that goes 150+CFm and a 120+CFM. I put the 120 on the TR Extreme and the 150 right behind it as the outflow. SO far in the first hour my idle temps have been 37-39-38-33, which is 5+LESS than with either the 64 cfm Sflex or the 72cfm Scythe. 20...
Just mildly Oc'ed my build. I'm running @3.3 11X1200. Mem at 1067. My volt are 1.3375 vcore...mem at 1.925(for no particular reason, seemed fine at 1.8. I wish nvmonitor temps were correct as that has my CPU at 36C. Coretemp has me at 42-44-44-38. On boot my CPU is 29-30C. My room is...
I haven't pushed it yet, as I'm still playing with the cooling, but I can't go higher than 3.3 right now. I haven't pushed the voltage up higher than 1.34 yet though. I tried 3.49?ish..got BSOD's.
Thwe washer would be under the mounting bracket right under the screw....If it's like mine, no mods should be needed to sit tightly...unless I got lucky! Let us know how the install was!
Nowhere have I seen just what is considered OK operating temps for the Quad cores, mine in particular the QX6700. Yes, cooler is better, but what works? From what I have read 40C is considered very good operating temp for it. Very Good like it's well chilled, which means higher is more the...
I'm curious if your unit has the washer. I got my original from Newegg..that's on it's way back. I bought the 2nd from CrazyPC(washerless) . When I tell you the fit is night and day I am not kidding. The first could be rotated with ZERP resistance as far in any direction that I wanted. This...
Can the fan headers handle 1.5 amps, per header also, at least 12-15 watts for each fan?
I want to try a Delta 150cfm on the Extreme 120 TR..I can always use the molex, but wasn't sure if the fan header could handle this.
Thanks anyone!
I like the one right behind the cooler to help suck the air thorugh it. The front one doesn't sound too necessary..could always stick one there and dial it down way low....just in case of fire! lol
Prime has been running for 45 minutes now..I am at 62-58-50-48. The AC has been off for 15 minutes and the temps did go up 5 degrees yechh! Can't wait for the heat to go on! lol
The AC is blasting in the house though...lol..jist ran TAT for 15 minutes. It went to 69 on Core 1 and 67 on core 2...stayed constant for 10 minutes...
When runnign this bench in Sandra I get a high latency..120ish and a slightly lower speed than other marks I've seen. I emailed Intel, and he said while they don't really deal with benches..it may be the Mobo and what i does with the processor and so forth...anyone know anything about this...
Just ran TAT for 15 minutes..topped out at 69Core 1 67 Core 2. I am playing with 3.3 1200 x11. It was constant for 10 minutes. But the individaul temps in Core temp and the logged ones on TAT stayed high 40's low to mid 50's..why didn't they go up? Supposedly..running the quads at 70C is not a...
