this is a great deal...the cheapest ive seen for a 4850 and the hs fan on this unit is good quality, not like the reference coolers that use to be on all of them.
yes the difference is 200mhz on each core which would translate into 4-5% improvement depending on if you use intense applications like burning dvd's, encode videos, converting cd's to mp3, video games. In day to day computing (e-mail, web surf, etc.) you probably would be hard pressed to be...
Nessism,
I've checked the benchmarks on tom's hardware. Basically, they drop the 5000 in a $170 top of the line mobo with some ddr2-1066 ram and overclock the crap out of the 5000 to 3.2 to get the same (and in some cases sub-par) performance as the 6400+.....Hey Guys listen up, I've got a...
Wow...You've truly gone insane....I love AMD chips but I will never buy another one that doesn't have 2mb of L2 (2x1mb).
P.s. For all you oc'ing noobs out there: the reason why Intel chip are eating Amd's lunch is not neccesarily because of clock speed but more because of L2 cache.

You guys crack me up! 5 titles on orange box isn't enough for you. ...like VALVE is saying "we have too many of these really good selling game titles, please take one". CS:S is unarguably the most popular shooting game...
I think I'm going to have my FID for sale soon.
I've got the upgrade itch again and recently bought a AM2 chip and some DDR2 memory which I can't use on this board. Man, I wish I could!!! MSI really proved to me that they we're contenders. This has been one of the two best systems I've built...

My good bud at work was really bummed about the xbox 360 version saying it was full of bugs.
(possible spoiler alert...but not really)
He was at one part of the game where he had to get a key out of a safe to advance to the next level, but the key was never there. He was so pissed that he...

Does anybody know how much it cost to close your account out????
I've been told it's 50 bucks.
If you want to trade stocks, you need to go with scott trade.
I am currently running my sandy at 12x230=2760mhz which I am very happy with.
15% overclock that makes it goe 160 mhz faster than a fx-55 at stock speed.
Just got my money refunded today. Both sets of ram I got from Kingston and ZZF actually made my cpu's run faster which is freakin' awesome. I can't say enough good stuff about this product...I love it! :D
The connect3d card in the original post says it has 657mhz memory speed. That is actually double which would make it 1314mhz (for those of you mathematically challenged.)
All three cards (1900gt,1950gt and 1950pro) are good quality cards that you wouldn't go wrong buying, but the pro series...
Faster memory speed is definitely a good thing! The 1950pro is an excellent choice in the mid $150 price range unless you've got to have high end bragging rights.

1950pro at the egg for $165 after $20 rebate
TruePaige,
I'm in the same boat with you! They cancelled my order and never refunded my money back into my visa debit card. Man they suck! BTW, I just got my set from ZZF and I love 'em. This ram definitely runs to spec unlike some corsair junk I just got rid of.I e-mailed Kingston Sales...
I just got my order cancelled today from Page. Man...I'm sorry I even mentioned their name. Never had any dealings with them in the past and don't plan on having any with them in the future.
kingston could have had so much more business if their site didn't crash.
I have my opty 165 running in the 2.65 range and it's got 2x1mb L2, but I've got it running in a high end motherboard with a high end psu. You could put this in anything that supports the x2's. you gotta buy the fan too...that's another $20-$30.
I couldn't get kingston's crappy site to check me out, but was able to find the same ram set at page computer for $163 after shipping. It had a shipping charge but no state taxes so it worked out about the same.
