Wanna add more power to my RC car... add another battery in serial or parallel?

kagy600's reply is totally correct, i just wanted to add a few things. If you're using a standard wal-mart type rc toy, you're stuck. You can try to find a more powerful motor that will fit, but it may burn out your speed control as well. There are options for serious hobby type RC cars...

What are some non-biblical/religious arguments against evolution?

God created the fossil record as a test of our faith. Oh wait, that's not a secular argument. How about: That's not proof! It's only evidence, and, um, it's really good evidence actually. There's not much evidence of intelligent design imo. I'd like to hear some that isn't just...

YAM(edical)T: Dull pain under right eye

I think Stye is the word you're looking for. I'd say monitor the pain. If it gets worse, go see a doctor as soon as you can. Never hurts to be careful with your peepers.

Anyone want a 100kg gold coin?

It's more confusing. Face value is one million, they are selling them for 3 million, and the gold contained within, is worth ~2.2million. ($688USD/oz, 32.15 troy oz/kg) That is unless it's more complicated than converting kg->oz x market price of gold.

Anyone want a 100kg gold coin?

Unless i'm missing something, 100kg of gold should be worth double that. Admittedly i'm ignorant beyond googling the price of gold at $688/oz

Do you think Rayovac batteries work as well as Duracell/Energizer?

Get a decent set of rechargeables, and a charger. You'll save money in the long run, especially for RC stuff. Spend the cash up front and get 2 or three sets for what you need. While a little harder to learn how to use, a decent hobby charger can really help out. You can charge in a...

<friendly sarcasm>Seen with a microscope? Wow that IS big.</friendly sarcasm> ( I understand that big here is relative.) I stand corrected. I'm just a layman with an interest in science, and not afraid to admit my ignorance. I honestly didn't realize quantum physics still applied at large...

Should I get a Plasma or LCD?

Go to a reputable showroom, and have a really good look. No big box stores, they rarely have any clue how to set up a tv to show its best picture, and will likely have the white level cranked.

Interesting. 17/20, southpaw, very empathic. I do have that distance and coldness at times. Sometimes it sucks when you're a man. If someone near me is experiencing extreme grief, it moves me to tears also, and it's impossible to control. Care to explain the link binister?

Is it possible the 80's were this bad?

It's not like everyone thought the video was great when it was released. Crappy video, popular song. Nothing new. /agree with ATLien247, his voice always seemed too big for him, although i never truly suspected it wasn't him singing. I just thought he got blessed with a freakishly big voice.

    Ten good boxing knockouts

Love the one where he lands it on the guy and is walking away before the guy falls. Classic. He knew he landed it and it was over. From the highlight reel, he looks like a one-trick pony, that hammer of a right, thrown the same way almost every time. I've never seen him fight though, so it...

You're looking at the Army's newest...

How is that thing targeted? Doesn't look like it needs LoS, as it was indirectly fired. My guess, someone paints the target with a laser, and the missile is fired into the air and comes down on top of the target.

Scientists find "possibly habitable" distant planet

Agreed. We are closer to the animals we descended from than most people are willing to believe, and our animal behaviors are responsible for much of our trouble. If technology could provide us a way to separate our instincts from us, we could consider our motivations rather than be ruled by...

Scientists find "possibly habitable" distant planet

Actually, with time dilation from relativity, you'd age less than 10 years during the trip there on a ship that could accelerate the whole time at 1g. Almost 22 years would pass on earth.
  39. G

Scientists find "possibly habitable" distant planet

Pretty damn good estimate, i did the calculations. Accelerating to at 1g, to a max speed of .5c, the trip would take 48.3 years. I used 1g for acceleration, because it would be comfortable for us. Who knows what the limitations on acceleration would be if it was unmanned, but pumping it...
