Wikipedia says that Phenom FX is coming out Q1 2008. Was it delayed or canceled ? I have the 4x4 "Quadfather" motherboard and I am looking for an upgrade path from my FX-74's and shitty old Quad SLI 8800GTX setup.

I just got a new computer with the L1N64 mobo and two of these badboys. Unfortunately they might be too hot to handle. Both are running (idling) at 50-54C in BIOS (dangerously close to AMD's advertised max temp of 56C). I am using stock heatsink/fan and I am not overclocking.

I've ran my X2 3800+ for 24 hours on the small test, so is it stable?

I should start this out by saying I have only limited experience with overclocking and that most of that is further limited to reading forums and guides. My luck with this X2 3800+ has not been great at all. I can run applications fine and I'm not getting any crashing -- except in Prime95's...
